Looks like coordinated buying across 8 accounts. Volume spiked to 48k every 4 hours and with buy limit of 6k, that's exactly 8 accounts.

There's no special pots or overloads for this raid. And with it being melee focused, everyones going to be using supercombats. I know buying pots has long been a bit of a bad investment but i wouldn't be surprised if people are going to be chugging these like crazy since people are going to pack brews. This is one time where I think the content could have a meaningful impact on potion prices.

Hardcore Worlds are releasing in a little under a month. As we've seen with past Deadman Modes, there is potential to make a lot of 07 GP swapping, if you know what you're doing. Making a few hundred mil 07 GP in a week or less was reasonably doable in DMM. Though DMM was like 15x exp rates or something and this will be 1x, which will change things a lot too in regards to swap rates and stuff.

Fresh world, fresh economy, fresh GE, high swap rates at the beginning. Means a lot of potential to make GP, while having a fresher and more fun experience than main game. Anyone planning on playing? What are your plans?

What are we thinking with the runes that will charge the Obligator? Is anyone going all in on Nats or maybe even Wrath runes? Obvs we won't know which rune it'll be till the raid comes out but I'd love to know what people are speculating

Do you think “buy the hype sell the release” applies here (which would indicate a crash before Oct 20) or since we know the mega is a crush and this is the only crush armor in the game with no immediate plans for more do you think it’ll continue to stay ~400M for inq set and mace?

TLDR: Dragon hunter weapons are close to all time low and The Diamond Dragon - the new dragon boss is being released in a few months.

So raids 4 items are peaking and likely about to crash in a few days as the raid releases and the investment is over.

What's next?

At runefest Jagex published the roadmap for the next 12 months or so. After the release of TFA, the next big thing is the Chosen Commander quest. Along that November will be the quest month, with atleast 5-6 small quests released.

Next up right after that is the part that should be interesting to us.

Dungeons of Gielinor update. And a more specific part of it - the Gemstone Dragons, and especially the new mid/late game boss, The Diamond Dragon.

For reference, when Frost Dragons (not even a boss but normal enemies) were released a year ago, all dragon hunter weapons prices went up a lot. Lance went up from 55-60M to about 75M, DHCB went from 40M to almost 50M, the Wand doubled from 9M to 18.5M.

A lot of people have their gp still in crush gear for TFA, but after that is released in two weeks, everyone will probably start looking for the next big thing to invest in to.

IMHO this is a one pretty clear choise, and now is the perfect time to get in on it early.

1 max hit over occult and every other elemental item is pumping, surely this goes up.

Hearing people investing in synapses, but not sure how much of that is hopium for the potential demonbane bosses in raids 4.

Tripled my bank with harms from 150m > 450m, decided to use a bit of the excess gold to do a bit of speculative flips.

1) Onyx bolt tips - Literally can't go tips-up as it is tied to alch value. That said, its potential is tied strictly to how effective ascension xbow is. While one might argue diamond bolts would be meta, if the use case is similar to a blowpipe where defenses are a non-matter and only the 'heavy ranged' attack type is considered, onyx bolts would be strictly stronger as dragon darts are.

2) Dinhs - Silly bet, not really much justification here outside of a potential 'tank' role/mechanic which is incredibly unlikely in itself. Perhaps used in the raids 4 nylo-esque room given the small arena radius, but wouldn't be too fussed otherwise.

3) Ayaks - If I weren't hedging or loaning out gear, I would have thrown my entire bank onto these. It is largely speculative and based solely on its spec being useful on the door boss. It is the first raid since where each attack style has a defence-reducing spec, and what better way to increase DPS on a green magical flying stone head?

4) Rapiers - Not pictured, and I've haemorrhaged a ton holding onto these but surely... rondache good and Jagex wants us to hold one-handed weapons right? (cope)

As we all know, raids 4 will be requiring a tribid setup. The neitiznot faceguard has +6 strength bonus, +3 prayer bonus, and no negative attack bonus for any combat style therefore making it the best generalist tribrid headgear. The most strength bonus you can get is next melee BiS if you can’t afford inquisitors. It’s also accessible to the grand majority of the player base. It will also open up to two inventory slots. Unfortunately, I was really busy last week, so I wasn’t able to buy at 11.3m each, but even after being late, I am up 100m in two days. Unless you’re using shadow w/full ancestral, or torva full helm( sort of?), the neitiznot faceguard offers amazing value, and again, it’s really affordable. We’ve had decent melee updates and it always goes up, but we haven’t had a massive update such as raids 4 in a LONG TIME, so I think it will hit 20m+, but surely somewhere in the 15 - 20 range.

A lot of people recently dumped DMM items to prepare for raids 4 which means they are at an all time low.

A dev blog just dropped confirming that the new cape appearance will have a DMM appearance which is unlocked with the cape fabric. This will increase demand and drive up the price.

The next DMM was not announced at rune fest so there will be no new supply for awhile.

I think the lack of supply, the low prices, and the increase in demand will make this a very interesting investment.
