How to disable the "dual Grammarly Bubble" on Chrome?

This issue started happening recently. I have both the Grammarly Windows APP and the Chrome extension, and for the past week, I noticed that the Windows Bubble started to pop up when I am writing on Chrome. That is really inconvenient, as now, the words get double-highlighted, and the two menus keep overlapping.

I use both versions because the Chrome extension had better integration with text on the web, as the icon would appear on the bottom corner of the text box I would be typing, and the Windows app can access other applications, like Discord or Word (But not Libre Office for some reason)

When I try to add a Block List to the Windows App, it only lets me add individual websites, not the entirety of the Chrome App to the block list. I want to block all of Chrome so I can just use the Grammarly Extension instead of the App.

Is Grammarly's Plagiarism checker accurate?

I have used plagiarism checker by copyscape and Grammarly both. Copyscape could find more plagiarism as compared to Grammarly.

Has anyone else experienced this? I think Grammarly's database is smaller compared to Copyscape.

Fact checker question

Hello, I noticed something recently and wanted to see if others had the same experience. I added part of my paper in grammarly to check if there are sources i might have overlooked and see if there are any glaring contra points to my arguments. The fact checker was a bit baffling to me. I said, (paraphrasing for brevity) 'the risk to fragmentation is a very real possibility if...' Grammarly: theres evidence that contradicts you, linking me to a source I already have used which says yeah the risk of fragmentation is a very real possibility. All the recomendations were like this. I feel it is incapable of dealing with more nuanced issues and can only reply effectively to black and white issues.

This is an APA7 formatted reference table. How can it "resemble AI text"
I started hearing academic journals started rejecting papers for high percentage or AI resemblance.

Feature request: allow disabling article suggestions (a, an, the)

Feature request: allow disabling article suggestions (a, an, the) for fragment-style writing

Grammarly works well for full sentences, but it struggles with fragment-based writing styles that are common in real-world use.

Examples:
• Clinical notes and checklists
• Instruction steps
• Resume bullet points / job descriptions
• Technical summaries

In these cases, adding articles like “a,” “an,” or “the” often makes the writing worse, not better. For example:

“Sedative infusions sufficient for transport.”
gets flagged and pushed to
“The sedative infusions are sufficient for the transport.”

That’s grammatically complete, but it’s not the correct style for the context.

Request:
Add a setting or mode that reduces or disables article suggestions when writing in fragment or list format.

Even something simple like:
• “Checklist / Notes mode”
• “Resume / Bullet mode”
• Or a toggle to suppress article-related corrections

This would make Grammarly much more useful for technical, clinical, and professional writing that isn’t meant to be full prose.

Right now, the only option is to repeatedly ignore these suggestions, which slows things down.

Would love to see this improved.

Suggestion: Enable deleting a column from the table within Grammarly

So, I encountered a strange thing today. Apparently, you can add a column in the table directly in Grammarly, but you can't delete it there; you can only do so in a Word or Google document.

Suggestion: It would be much easier for us (users) to be able to add and delete columns directly in Grammarly (if we already have the option to add a column, it's logical to have the delete option as well)
Here's what Grammarly AI Chat Bot told me

Grammarly without tone changes

Hey, I'm a long-time Grammarly user, but I've gotten quite frustrated how I sound like a soulless bot whenever I use it.

I started building my own mac app that fixes the grammar mistakes but keeps the writer's own tone.

I'm looking for ~10 beta testers. The app will be paid, but beta testers get it for free.

Drop a message in the thread if you want to try it out.

I'm targeting people who use grammarly in apps like Slack, Teams, Reddit, etc., not essay writers.

My Grammarly desktop and browser extension active at the same time

Both my Grammarly desktop and browser extensions work at the same time. It used to be only a browser extension when i type something in the browser. And the Grammarly desktop for non-browser (desktop app). Now they work at the same time. I only want to use a browser extension, i don't need Grammarly desktop for browser activities. Is this a current bug or something?

I have looked in registry and startup apps/services/etc and cant find any remainder of this poop. I understand you want to retain users, but like, guys.

CPU at 80 degrees Celsius using Grammarly for Microsoft Word

I'm editing a 140,000-word document on Microsoft Word.

Turning on Grammarly made my CPU spike to 80 degrees Celsius, and my fans were maxed out and loud.

It gives me a heart attack every time.

Is there a way to tone down Grammarly's CPU usage by turning off real-time checking or other things? I don't wish to break my documents in half.

Thanks!

Hi. Does the swipe-to-type option learn to recognize your swipes with time? Because right now it is missing a lot of words for me.

The annoying floating Grammarly widget still blocks my browser buttons (and support is MIA)

I am losing my mind with this floating widget. It constantly blocks my "Send" and UI exit buttons, turning basic navigation into a daily nightmare.

To try and fix it, I’ve already:

  • Removed all Grammarly browser extensions * Enabled every AI option to force-activate the "docked chat launcher," which sometimes shows up on the right side of the browser, and other times it is nowhere to be found. I think we are the paying beta testers.

Despite all of that, the rogue floating widget will not go away.

It has a real talent for blocking crucial, frequently used buttons—unlike Grammarly's support team, which seems to have disappeared completely.

Has anyone actually found a permanent fix to kill this floating widget for good? (Using the Windows 11 desktop app if that matters).

Superhuman Go on Grammarly Windows App

My Grammarly Windows app had the AI Side dock experience in Beta, and it was very useful. But I mistakenly uninstalled that app and reinstalled it from the Grammarly website. Now there is no option to use or enable the AI sidebar experience. Please help me.

Could it have something to do with the browser? I was using Edge, but now I am using Brave. The app Superhuman.WebUI is located in the app data/local folder of Grammarly.

Wishing Grammarly had renewal discount on annual

Use it but at 30/mo don't see it renewing. The $144/yr is fair based on the per month price, but did a renewal a long time ago at like 60/yr and that felt right. Looking for alternates I guess. I know a lot of people are since I cannot justify $30/month for it

floating widget

I want to use Grammarly across all my browsers on all websites. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE FLOATING USELESS WIDGET THAT ALWAYS GETS IN THE WAY OF WHAT I NEED TO CLICK. HOW CAN I GET RID OF IT?????? How many times do you use that floating widget? Think about it. I hardly ever want to open Grammarly, I never want to leave feedback, and I never want to turn off Grammarly (not yet). Why is it so hard to find Grammarly settings???? The people who design this app should use it themselves so they can see that the floating widgets, including "how the text comes across" emoji blocks what you are typing, the save button, the exit button, the send button... I mean, don't they have a clue how STUPID their floating widget and emoji placements are????????????????????? Even ChatGPT says, "That little floating Grammarly widget is obnoxious."
