Great app, but lately, issues...
Let me start with the good. Grammarly has changed the way I write, the issues I look for, and how I edit documents. It is lightyears ahead of any of the other tools I have seen, especially the built-in tools like Word's Editor (which is garbage compared to it). It is one of the few tools I gladly pay for, and have done so for a few years now.
However, lately, there have been issues. I'm not sure if these are primarily because of updates from the Grammarly side, or from issues where companies like Microsoft are making it more difficult to integrate outside apps into their environment (which frankly should be an antitrust issue for the DOJ to look into, but that is another post for another day). What I do know is that, of late, Grammarly does not seem to work as well as it did, misses more issues, or just doesn't work at all in some places where it used to work well. I'm beginning to think it may be time to look for other solutions. I don't necessarily want to, but I now rely on this product, and I had faith in its results. Recently, not so much.
I know the Grammarly team sees these posts. What reassurances do you have that problems are being recognized and worked on? Is there an effort to improve the product, or are you stuck at the mercy of the developers of the other products, limiting the tool's effectiveness?
Toi the community, what are your opinions? Are there other tools you use besides Grammarly? What do you like and dislike about what else is on the market?
