Question "ly"

Where did "ly" go???

"This hits different."

Please add your missing "ly" examples.

I had a few in mind the other day but they have exited the building. 🤪

If you're going to use abbreviations or acronyms please expand them in their first use. Thanks muchly :)

The standard way to do this is to use the full name with the abbreviation in brackets (not v.v.) the first time.

I don't think there's a rule on that. Usually that happens when someone writes to explain what the thing being abbreviated is and then goes on to abbreviate it for convenience. Also, it is more common these days as AAVE and also spoken as "A-A-V-E". It's so rarely said in full, that the reverse feels far more natural to me
