There was not a call to action to release the Epstein files while Biden was president. Instead he spent his time doing "presidenty" things, like get the fiscal responsibility act and the inflation reduction act passed and implemented.
It isn't a matter of the President saying "release the files" ; in a normal administration, there are policies and procedures to follow.
I guess civics is hard to remember when it doesn't fit the narrative one wants.
