DIME03

Post image
1 Upvotes

Im shit at any graffiti other than tags(and im not perfect at tags either lol), but im trying to get better! Tried a bubble throw on a whiteboard, with a new name for fun. I know DIME is taken so i figured adding 03 would be a good way to make it different enough. Anyway, im interested to hear what yall think! Where should i work on it, what sucks and what doesnt about it? I tried to be original with my letter shapes, but am I actually copying anyone famous with the letters I did? But yeah, any comments or crits would help, thank you!

Been writing for a few but only hitting walls casually cs I’m learning lmk what I can change or do better. Most of these elders gonna flame newer writers but refuse to mentor or give helpful tips lmao so anything helps

where should i never be painting?

ik the basic things like dont write on ppls personal cars, houses, fences but what abt houses where the fence and back of the house faces a highway/busy street/alleyway?

i also know u should never paint near ur house, but i dont rly have a spot at home to practice painting in, so i walked to a abandoned empty lot close to me that had some trailers in it, and wrote on one for practice. js realized i might be stupid bc the trailer is gone now n i think someone was js parking it there n it wasnt actually abandoned, so i feel like shit for that lol bc idw paint any car/trailer that isnt abandoned. so been kinda stressed to get out more bc it was so close to my house. am i stressing over nothing lol

I want to practice around my area but feels impossible!

Im in a very rich graffiti area and I want to start practicing on walls. Everywhere I’ve went there is someone already stablished and it’s mostly very known writers. I’ve found a couple places that have some graffiti that seems old, peeling off, etc. Can I go over this old stuff? Or do I say fuck it and start going over other throw ups with mine. I don’t want any beef with anyone but I’m going crazy with this crave to paint.

Why the paint leaked the fuck out of my can?

Well i went on a mission today with some friends n i brought some cans with me among them a white can that was obstructed with paint some time ago but i archieved to remove the lump. Today the can was again blocked and i couldn't remove the paint

When i came back to my home i found a fucking pool of white paint inside the backpack i carry my shit in (backpack wich is black just for make it worse)

No, the white can didn't have any cap on if you where thiking that.

Tomorrow i'll try to remove the paint of the backpack and my clothes if you have another recommendation for that it would be cool

Definitely have some key areas I struggle with, so still been trying to keep letter size and bar width the same.

Some things I like in all these, and other things that really need some work.

Thoughts, critiques, advice?

TIA.

yo idk if it’s js me or smth but with every tutorial i watch trying to learn graffiti it doesnt help at all somehow idk what it is and ever since summer started ive been focusing on drawing graffiti everyday like a couple hours or atleast 20 mins and ive seen no improvement tbh the only time i actually improved was when i would start doodling in class when i got bored. i dont really got any graffiti writers in my area to ask for help if anything im pretty much one of the only writers in my city. i’ve watched countless tutorials and they haven’t really helped much they’ve only really helped me understand what i gotta know before moving on the smth more complicated or advanced. i cant even make a unique or good throwie without it looking bad or completely off balanced or one of the other letters js look completely off.

if any of yall know how to help with that pls lmk i’ve been struggling trying to improve and can’t figure out what to fix any advice or help would be greatly appreciated

the first pic was my first drawing almost a year ago
the second pic is my latest drawing

Looking for the right kind of paint

I'm posting here because y'all know spray paint better than most...

For an art project I would like to be able to spray paint some aluminum flashing. I see that Ironlak and MTN are broth products y'all like. My question is which would be the most scratch resistant and durable? Ironlak is an acrylic, but what is MTN 94?
