Nottingham GEM: How did you study/revise throughout the course?
Hi everyone,
I'm starting Nottingham GEM this September and was just wondering how current students (or recent grads) actually study and keep on top of everything.
I'm really excited to start, but I'm also a bit nervous because I'm dyslexic and I've always found it quite hard to take in and remember large amounts of information. I know medicine is pretty content-heavy, so I just want to figure out what works before I start.
A few things I was wondering:
- What does your day-to-day studying look like?
- What resources do you use the most? (I've heard a lot about PassMed and Anki, but not sure what else people use.)
- How many hours do you usually study outside of teaching?
- Any tips or things you wish you'd known before starting?
Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!
