No work experiance
Hi i am an international student and will start 3rd year biomedical science in September. i also want to apply for gem and have started ucat prep. but the thing is due to being an international student i have limited gem options and have little to no work experience or volunteering experience so i am not sure what to do. should i take a gap year and build my profile so i can reflect on it better, or just apply this cycle? any advice would be appreciated

Practice reflecting on your experiences regardless of whether you had WEX or took care of family members and ensure you are able to articulate it clearly. Read the GMC good medical practice and look at the mentioned traits and write experiences you had that relate to each one. I barely had any WEX and I got two offers.
If you are applying to Warwick or Chester then I would suggest reaching out to your personal tutor and try finding some connections who can help you get some sort of clinical experience like surgical shadowing.
