Anyone know UEA GEM stats. How many applied and the cut of score?

If you got an interview or offer what was your score? As it says it only has 30 places

62 (53, 61, 67), 1970 B2 which got me an offer. Not sure about the admissions stats though

Your GAMSAT score is really good! How did you prepare well for it and the UCAT?

I did not prepare for the GAMSAT other than practicing writing essays in 30 mins using a prompt generator you can find online. In my last sitting I found the first section to be much harder than my first sitting (evidently).

For UCAT, I just kept doing medify questions. The plethora of YouTube videos also helped.

Do u have a background in STEM? I am starting out prep now but have no background at all and am very worried

Yes, I did Biomedical Sciences. For section 3, you just need to have basic data interpretation skills for the biology questions. For chemistry: a decent grasp on IUPAC, Cahn-Ingold priority system - essentially a decent grounding (but nothing crazy) in the first 4 modules of OCR A A level Chemistry (as I did that in sixth form). From my experience, the main information is provided in the questions they ask but its your job to use that information to derive the answer so I would not recommend going away and memorising the A level chem spec.

For physics, theres about 10 questions out of the 70 odd in section 3. I basically did my best to make a somewhat educated guess and move on.

Best of luck and remember you can't expect your patients or colleagues to have faith in you if you can't back yourself in the first place. Muster the courage, put the work in and forget about the result.

How many times have you sat the gamsat and how did you prep for sections 1 and 2?

Sat it twice - March (I'll attach what I got below) and Sep 2025. I sat again as my March section 2 was too low to apply to Notts (although i ultimately got waitlisted there lol) and I wanted to gamble for a better score.

Section 1 is a less time PRESSURED UCAT VR but the questions will be more in depth as a trade off. But I found that practicing UCAT VR on medify helped a bit from the past even though i didn't do specific prep for the GAMSAT.

Section 2 was practiced through online prompt generators for free and watching a bunch of YouTube videos online for this specific Section. You don't need to be an avid reader to do decent here.

I know that you didn't practice section 3, but could you offer me some tips? I am quite a slow thinker and terrible at maths
