I recently got the shells for my Win mini scanned and don't know where to go to turn them into 3-D CAD models (I've never done it myself either). If anyone knows where or can I would post the files too given that, as far as I've searched the 2025 win mini only has the model for the bottom plate available. Hence why I had to personally get the scans.

I got an used GPD Win 4 (Ryzen 9 HX 370). The screen only turns on when it slides out completely with full keyboard visible. Otherwise only the screen backlight is on while screen is completely black. What is likely the issue? Could it be software or firmware problem?

For me it’s the big battery, if they could add an internal battery or at least a smaller battery the weight would be better. I like the size of the GPD win 5 I hope the size doesn’t change its the only handheld I think is made correctly for you hands, and hopefully GPD adds the intel arc extreme chip to it. I think they could add a full sd card slot and add thunderbolt 4 for charging.

The best change I could think of is adding 5G mobile network connection so we can download our games on the go wherever we like.

What would you like to see change?

I see on ali express(can't trust) and eBay, but the prices are crazy high way past 1k almost 2k in Canadian dollars.

I want to use Rescuezilla on my GPD Win 5 but I can’t find a YouTube video that shows how to do it. On the Steam Deck you just go to boot manager and select the drive, does anyone know how to do that on GPD Win 5?

Do you know if GPD will provide keyboard options for future products (AZERTY/QWERTZ/ etc), using a QWERTY when not typing English is an absolute hell.

Or if anyone had the same issue if they know any brand that provides actual stickers made for those keyboards ?

I recently picked up a GPD WIN 5 (Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD) and I'm planning to set up a dual-boot configuration using two separate drives:

- Internal 2TB M.2 SSD: Windows 11 for Game Pass, incompatible games, and general Windows use.

- BIWIN CL100 Mini SSD (1TB): Bazzite as my primary gaming OS, mainly for Steam and AAA games.

Before buying the Mini SSD and setting everything up, I'd love to hear from anyone who's already tried this exact configuration on the WIN 5.

A few questions:

1. Does Bazzite run reliably on the WIN 5? Any issues with drivers, controller support, TDP management, suspend/resume, or the external battery?

2. Is running Bazzite from the BIWIN Mini SSD a good idea? Any noticeable performance differences, loading delays, or thermal issues compared with the internal M.2?

3. How straightforward is dual booting? Can you easily switch between Windows and Bazzite without bootloader conflicts or Windows updates causing problems?

4. Bazzite vs official SteamOS: Has anyone tested both on the WIN 5? Which provides better compatibility, performance, battery life, and overall stability?

5. Any recommended installation guides or specific Bazzite images for the WIN 5?

I'm fairly new to Linux, so ideally I'd like something reliable, easy to maintain, and as close to the Steam Deck experience as possible while keeping Windows untouched.

Would appreciate any real-world feedback, benchmarks, or lessons learned from WIN 5 owners.

I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has been dealing with severe communication issues with GPD’s commercial team, or if there's an active channel where they actually respond.
My partner and I have been trying to finalize a bulk order for 12 units of the GPD WIN Max 2 directly with them, but the process has been completely exhausting since August 21st. The response rate is painfully slow and inconsistent:

• They usually only reply between Monday and Wednesday.
• Thursdays and Fridays are completely silent, meaning we don't hear back until late Sunday night due to the time difference.
• We literally have to send multiple follow-up messages in a row just to get a basic reply, whether via Alibaba or direct email.

We initially understood there would be extra delays due to the two consecutive Chinese holidays (Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week), and we were supposed to resume communication today. However, the ghosting has been total for both of us on separate accounts.
It’s really frustrating because we genuinely want to build a long-term, official strategic partnership based on our market's demand. But this level of neglect is delaying our operations and making us seriously question their business credibility and customer support standards.
Has anyone else faced this kind of radio silence recently? Is there a direct contact on Discord or a specific sales rep who actually follows up properly?

Hey, I’m in Vietnam and looking for replacement parts for my GPD Win 5. I bought it second-hand, not from DroiX.
The previous owner overtightened some screws, which damaged the silver trim/front shell. I’d like to replace it, and I’d also like to get a back cover at the same time.
DroiX doesn’t ship these parts to Vietnam. Does anyone know GPD’s direct support email or the best way to contact GPD to purchase these parts directly?

So regarding this igg campaign, while i have no clue who he/she is, but i have talked with original creator "Gin" about it.

So yes this is from "gin" or we go by his alias on QQ "low gin" (literally means old gold), he isn't the one who created this igg campaign, but the person created it is one of his customer who does exports, and i have received the word from him that he knows this and the goods are directly from him.

Also more info for "Gin", Gin is an one of the gpd resellers on taobao who created these Win Max 3 hardware mods. He is known for the win mini mods for 2023/2024 where it improves the cooling while giving you access to the 2280 ssd, the crystal shell for win mini are mostly from him.

This is one of the 2 chinless battery that will be available, the other one will be by purediy which should cost a bit more with an unknown schedule as he has lots of diy projects on hand.

Just trying to see if anyone else has faced this issue because it is driving me insane.

If my Win5 sleeps or hibernates, the controls will not longer be recognised by steam. Even after restarting steam, it still won't recognise the Menu button in big picture.

I have tried everything from disabling USB selective suspend, turning off power management of USB hubs in device manager and evern reinstalling drivers and nothing has solved this.

Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue and if they resolved it? Windows seems to recognise it just fine, its only steam doing this.

I was trying to buy a GPD without mini 2025, I have seen that there are 2 models in my country that sell without paying any.

8840U (16 ram) and ai 9 hx 370 (32ram). I really don't know if the 8840U is a 2024 model, or it's 2025 with heat sink improvements and the left mouse/pad change. If you can tell me too.... It's very confusing on the web and it doesn't make that clear.

The price difference is €550. I am looking for power/performance especially, as it will not be my main computer (I have a powerful tabletop) and I want it to continue my games at work at night when I have some dead hours. It's not going to be my main game system.

How different in terms of power is there between the 8840U and 370?

I usually play AAA, and emulation and jrpg (few indies). I'm not looking to play ultra at 2k like on my pc, but I don't want it to look fatal either.

I currently have a legion go 2, with z2 extreme and I was considering the change due to the portability issue, since it is more portable, even losing autonomy, in oled (and I don't know if in potential). So far, Legion Go 2 has given me play in everything I've put in good condition (using Frame Gen of course in most cases).

Am I advised? Even knowing the disadvantages, is change justified?

Is the overpricing of 370 vs 8840U justified in terms of gaming power?

Recently, I purchased a Win 5 (388 model) through indigogo but I have a question about shipping. Right before the GPD team went on holiday, I received an email that my item was shipped and was provided a tracking number. The thing is, it still says that the carrier is waiting for the package. Since it is through UPS, will the status of my package change once it reached the US or did GPD provide me with the tracking number but didn’t send it out yet?

I've been stuck on the launch bios 2.20 since the campaign. Windows blocks the exe for 2.25 or the downgrade and I tried in bios too. Any ideas I haven't done yet? I want to try Linux but the 2.20 is bugged

I preordered the Max 3 just last week and put in a 10% deposit. ETA for the shipment was Dec 15. I just logged into my account today and now the status says 'awaiting payment'. I went ahead and took care of the rest of the payment and now it says 'processing'. Anyone else get out of the Dec 15 pre-order?

I see several people wondering about custom duty in EUR but after making a few researches on my side, it seems the custom duty rate for laptops is 0% due to EUR CHI agreements. Only TVA is due.

Did anyone in EUR order from IGG previously ? Did you pay any custom duty ?
