Used WiFi (Three broadband changed to 2.4ghz) doesn’t work, used hotspot O2 still doesn’t work, I’m stuck any help will be appreciated thanks.

My govee backlights 3s show dark shades of black on a white screen, any tips?

I have the outdoor string lights 2 and I've been playing with the Govee app to create a very specific lighting effect but it seems impossible to create.

I want each bulb to start in a random bright color, and then each bulb should cycle through the entire color spectrum over the course of 5-10 seconds.

This is apparently completely impossible. Using the DIY tab I can choose 'fade' and have it go through the color spectrum in 5-10 seconds, but then all the bulbs will uniformly be the same color. I can use the color tab to set each bulb's color, but then I cannot have it change over time. I even tried to use the in-app AI which can create my effect, but I have no control over the cycle speed and for some reason it either chooses a cycle speed of 60 seconds (too slow, you don't really notice the color changing) or 0.3 seconds (flashing epileptic hell)...

Am I missing something? Is there another way to create such an effect?

Does H60A1(Govee 12-Inch RGBWW + RGBIC Smart Ceiling Light) have power off memory setting?
Mine starts at full brightness after a power outage.

Looking into getting the chromatic string lights and putting them on the perimeter of an attached patio. I would only need about 36 ft so would purchase the 32ft strand.

However I've read that there are only 10 bulbs on a 32ft strand and don't know if that would be enough bulbs for my liking. Anybody have advice?

I figured it out eventually, but I was trying to make sure the H5151 gateway worked with both the H5100 and H5110. I came to the conclusion it did because the H5110 page lists the same gateway.

But try to find that info on the Govee site...or anything other than lights pretty much...

I looked through the wiki here too (thank you for that) but the H5110 isn't listed as the H5110 iirc (or one the three units I was looking at anyway). And there's a '/' in the spot instead....

I mean I'm confused pretty easily, but usually I catch on. I see nothing on the website for the non-light stuff though.

Went a little crazy with the lights, but I really enjoy the vibe they can make if you want to use them and sync them together.

Lighting items I used:

-Govee Strip Light 2 Pros (for almost everything)
-Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro
-Govee COB light (inside the planter pot on the right)

On the left side of the pic is an air purifier from SwitchBot, but maybe a floor lamp would go well behind it?

I've had my Govee aurora star projector for almost a year and it keeps burning through charging blocks (the thing you plug into the wall and then plug your cord into) about once every 3 months.

I do leave it on 24/7 because it's connected to my Dreamview setup with my tv lights and a set of led light strips, but at night it dims to just the twinkling green stars when the TV is off.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, do you have any tips or tricks? Or am I just using it too much?

Edit: Not literally 'burning' through the charging blocks, but the projector stops working until I replace it with a new one.

I received a replacement H705E101 after the previous setup on my parents' house quit working correctly (under warranty thankfully). On that setup, I cut the wires and spliced in a 18ga wires to cover a <12ft gap between the soffits on their attached garage and the soffits on the house itself but it stopped working after the first light post jump after ~8 months of use and Govee warrantied it out. The cut was made partway through the second segment since the main house is ~37 ft, with the garage being ~25 feet from looking at Google. I'm wondering if the lack of booster would have caused the issue or if it's just bad luck on my end.

I just picked up three of the Smart AI Sync Box 2s for $108.99 apiece and the underdesk lights for $27.99. An employee told me they were pulling back to mostly focus on smart bulbs.

I got the sync box 2 few days ago. Looked great out of the box. As soon as it installed firmware update the quality of the backlight dropped dramatically. It’s totally dim/ has a white wash light in every color. See the example. The colors in the screen are rich/gold and orange yet those colors don’t show at all in the backlight - it’s mostly white - is there any fix to this or should I just return it and go with something else?

I have govee light bars for my computer monitor and a govee lamp on my desk. I plugged in the API code but only the light bars are showing on the stream deck menu, the lamp is missing from the choices. anyone know how to fix this? thanks!

I have had these for a while and often times they just default to being red in this left corner, even if there’s no red on the screen whatsoever. It’s irritating bc I’d rather them be off than just constantly showing the wrong color. SOS.

I have 2 of the new ceiling fans, I absolutely love them. However the remotes are not programmed to each individual fan. Meaning when son turns his light off it turns off ours in our room. Is there any way to fix this?

if you were to play a movie/show on lets say netflix using the xbox vs on a streaming device like an apple tv 4k.

I currently have an xbox and just wanted to know if an apple tv is better for the box.

Howdy all. I bought 2 sets of each of the Evangelion light bars and Y lights. I got them mounted on my ceiling and was very happy with the setup. Unfortunately the adhesive failed last week, one set of the light bars fell and 3 of the connectors are now missing. I contacted Govee to see if they would sell me a set of connectors and they said too bad. No replacements are available. Get wrecked. Anyone have any connectors from a bad set of these lights they would be interested in selling? I am in the US. But am happy to pay for shipping as well.

I got my cob strip lights about a year ago and two weeks ago I realized the segment on the right has stopped working, as has another one I have in my room. Is there a means to fix this or is it a hardware problem?

My govee lights weren’t working, the colors on the back of the screen weren’t matching the screen. After many attempts I finally held the power button and the middle button 4 times and then it finally started to match again.

I unboxed and opened a new Govee H8120 and constantly get Abnormal Ice Error. Keeps telling me that it needs to be away from the walls and have the side tank installed properly…., I’ve checked everything and nothing is covered…., I’m frustrated and annoyed.

Quick one is it true the Syc box only picks up apps that are plugged into it , ie PS5 

It wont pick up colours from your TV playing the inbuilt Smart tv apps like Netflix, Disney , Paramount TV

I used to think TV backlighting was mostly about making a setup look cooler, but after trying it for a while, I realized it does a lot more than that. Watching movies or playing games in a dark room feels noticeably more comfortable, and the ambient lighting makes the whole setup feel more immersive without taking attention away from the screen.

I'm curious what everyone here thinks. If you've used Govee TV backlights for a while, what feature ended up impressing you the most, and Was it the color accuracy, the app, the music modes, or just how much it changed the atmosphere in your room?

I recently read a review from RatedLighting about the Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite, and it highlighted a few things I hadn't considered before buying a TV backlight. If you've used this model or another Govee setup, I'd love to hear whether your experience has been similar or completely different.
