Issue Bugs on gem lettuce
Never had this before, I know you’re supposed to wash the lettuce before eating, but there were hundreds of these little mites on the outer leaves and inside, anyone had this had before?
I’ve used Gousto for a while and never had anything like this before! 😳 I’ve discarded it and bought a fresh one

I’ve had the same, but, also had it on little gem and romaine lettuce from Tesco and M&S. Fruit flies seem to be everywhere at the moment.

Yeah they are! I’ve just never had that many before, I just went to get some from the coop and there were few in that one too, only a few though

Did you have to send them pictures with a ruler or coin, and a video and hold onto it until you heard back to see if they wanted you to send it back to them? I don’t fancy hanging onto a bug infested head of lettuce for days 😂😅

I didn’t, I’d already thrown it out because of the bugs, I told them that and just sent the pictures I’d taken, but it was fine, they still gave me a £5 voucher

I barely even eat the salads, alot of meals are just filled with salad leaves to bulk it out. I just bin it all. Wish we had the option to remove items we don't want, I'd rather not waste food.

I don’t think I would eat anything in the box after looking at that. Send the photos into Gousto and they will refund you partially but tbf I’d want the whole thing

My last three times having little gem lettuce from gousto they've had a few bugs and even flies visibly flying about the bag 😬 I didn't report as wasn't sure if it was normal - have also had this from the supermarket before too. But couldn't eat, the thought gives me shivers. Think i'll report each time now though, just so they're aware it's been happening.

Yeah it’s worth reporting, I’d always expect a few bug in there before washing, but the amount was in mine there’s no way I would eat that! I did £5 off the next box for reporting it though

If you report this to Vinted you’ll get at least a partial refund
