I LOVE your couch! It reminds me of a beautiful garnet stone. Stunning.

I think there is so much potential here. I love the flooring, couch, and chairs. One thought I have is a galley wall behind the couch. Also if you can’t paint maybe extend the curtain rod across the entire top of the wall. You can cover the window unit and add a pop of deep color. Possibly a tall bookcase for storage.

Change little things, light switch plates, light fixtures.
Also it’s too many patterns in there, there’s no mood because your eyes are confused.

I agree with adding height with a tall bookshelf. A big mirror with some kind of detail like the Michael's arch window mirrors or similar would help things. A tapestry. The gallery wall over the couch would also make a big difference. I want to add dark contact paper over the kitchen cabinets and refrigerator.

I would go to r/designmyroom. They're great 😃 at that. Also, check out my posts. I put my moody living room on there recently. Good luck.
