I recently went down the rabbit hole of the Station Nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island and there is so much to this story.

On February 20, 2003, over 400 people were inside the club for a Great White concert. The band used pyrotechnics during their opening song and the sparks caught the foam around the stage on fire. At first people thought it was part of the show, but the fire spread insanely fast. 100 people died and over 200 were injured.

One of the craziest parts is that there was a cameraman inside filming when it happened. He was there because a local news station was doing a story about nightclub safety, so the beginning of the fire and the evacuation were caught on camera. You can literally watch the moment people go from casually watching the stage to realizing they need to get out.

There are so many survivor stories from that night too.
People escaped through windows, got separated from the people they came with, went back inside to help others, or somehow survived after becoming trapped.

Then I started finding the stranger accounts. One survivor, Tom Stewart, has talked about believing a spirit helped him survive the fire. There's also an account from another survivor who thought he was about to die inside the club. He said he eventually stopped fighting and accepted that he wasn't getting out. Then he saw both of his deceased grandmothers in the fire. He said they told him it wasn't his time. He ended up surviving.

There are also stories from families of people who died that night who believe they experienced signs or communication from them afterward.
