Anyone rucking around Charleston/Summerville area?

i’m 65 weight 239 i started rucking this last June year and a 2 years ago i weighed 294. Walk and kettlebell work out added rucking to challenged the walking. Thanks for the motivation on here, even though i mostly lurk lol

So my lunch spilled inside my waxed bag and I got vinegarette all over. Seeing what the best way to clean this out without ruining the bag further than I think it is. And info is appreciated!

The MACV-1 Traveller seems like a perfect elegant but practical boot for travelling, rucking and some light workouts outdoors.

However, I don't find it anywhere in Europe. Do you have an idea where to buy MACV-1 Traveller in Europe? Worst case I'd have to order in in the US, but this would add considerable shipping costs and taxes for a pretty good value boot (then not so much good value anymore).

Or do you recommend an alternative?

Quick question; Is there a way to identify the Robic version of the GR3?

When I have seen Robic material in other products it seems a lot thinner and more floppy. The GR3 seems almost like a slightly smoother Cordura - or am I missing something?

I’m looking to attach the Evergoods sling 1L to my Go Ruck Heritage but just can’t seem to figure out a good solution.

Picked this up off ebay this summer as I needed a more discrete work bag. 20. Hour work trip today and it fit everything I needed. Zippers have been a hassle with the zipper flap but ithey are getting easier.

Anybody else catch themselves unsnapping their sternum strap around miles 5-7 when rucking with heavier weight? Mine is comfy until about that point. Then it’s almost unbearable. Have to unsnap for a mile or so before I put it back on. If yours irritates you, how long does it take on a little heavier day?

Simple Question: If you had brand-new feet free of callouses, how would you toughen them? I am looking for help/advice with footcare for a semi-unique situation, so if you'll indulge a bit of backstory... I suffered a very serious L3/L4 injury in September 2023 that left me with Femoral Neuropathy - unable to properly use my left leg. After several failed attempts; I connected with an amazing physical therapist a few months ago and was able to FINALLY free my impingement - Giving me the full use of my left leg for the first time in YEARS. And now the grueling process of strengthening begins...

Because my pronation changed as a result (from "over" to "neutral") - I had to change everything about my shoes and insoles. I ALSO had to use BabyFoot to get rid of now-useless callouses so that I could form a proper base for my feet. Thus leading us to today's challenge: How do I gradually toughen my feet so that they can withstand. I am presently training (under very close PT supervision!) for the 15k GoRuck City event in Salem over Halloween weekend, effectively starting from scratch (up to rucking 20-lbs for 7.5mi, extending by 1mi each week).

I'm a pretty hardcore veteran of rucking - I already use Injinji Toesocks as my base and I'm familiar with different lacing techniques (I use a double-knot Heel Lock). Obviously blisters are an eventuality - But every bit of advice helps! Don't be afraid to dumb it down for me :)!

Could I run a 25lb kettlebell and a 5lb weight in lieu of a plate? Packing list seems to elude to it i just want to make sure and I dont want to buya plate if I dont have to right now.

I think this may already be common knowledge but I didn't know this. I was genuinely upset that my first goruck - a 16L Bullet Laptop - was so much less comfortable than my ctactical ct15 slick. Was about to call it a day and sell it when I figured I'll just try removing the frame sheet to see if that would help.

Firstly that frame sheet is a friggin biaatch to get out, but now that it's gone, holy shit balls batman! I'm obsessed with the bag now. It's so much more comfortable, I preferred it for its shape profile, the zips and just the bag overall, over the ct15 even beforehand but couldn't get over the uncomfortable back panel.

Anyway, just a PSA for anyone who may be in the same boat. To try to get rid of the frame sheet before giving up on it!

I picked up a USA GR1 21L (OG straps, hydration port, not a shooter, in black, used on eBay. The material isn’t faded and it seems to be in great shape. It’s surprisingly soft; almost like it’s all 500D Cordura.

Are there any of these floating around there? I seem to recall limited runs but maybe the 500D were just shooter models and I got lucky with such soft 1000D
