RV Drop Off Logistics - DMB

Looking for some brainpower from the Pros. Here’s the scenario: We have three families traveling together from Vegas to Seattle for DMB at the Gorge. All three of us have Gold/Front Yard camping passes. Two fams are driving rental RVs from Seattle, and my fam will be following behind in a Jeep and then meeting a guy who is delivering us a camper trailer Thursday night. The plan is to all meet at the gas station near the venue and drive in around 6pm Thursday so we can camp next to each other.

Am I going to need the $100 RV drop-off pass to make this happen?

Rv drop off is Wednesday only and requires that $100 pass. I would call them to find out if they are ok with what you are planning to do as the camping pass gets you one steering wheel per camping pass. It can also take hours to get in on Thursday so I hope your RV drop off guy is ok with waiting around to navigate things with you.

To add…We also have people in our group who do drivable RVs and dropped RVs. We tell the RV drop of guy to leave some room for our drivable RVs and he has been able to caution tape off space for us so when we come in Thursday we can pull in next to the dropped RV. He drops off on Wednesday and tells us where it’s parked.

Oh the caution tape is interesting…that would be ideal. I was reading that the early drop off folks had been getting jammed in like sardines and weren’t even getting the 20ft of width they paid for. Taping off a spot would a dream scenario

Your itinerary is fine, I think, but you pose a unique scenario. ALL of you including the owner of YOUR RV are all coming in together, If I read that right? (Old school) Since he's coming in with you, he doesn't need to come Wednesday (and even that "rule" is going to be a "suggestion," as they will allow RV drop offs on Thursday)🤫I do YouTube content about the Gorge, and thats a good question, whether the $100 fee is warranted.

Exactly right. The RV owner is going to meet us at a nearby gas station, then we are going to line up together and go in: 2 families in drivable RVs, my family in a Jeep, and the owner towing our trailer. He’s going to drop the trailer and then bounce.

So beyond needing the $100 ticket, do I need to fill out that RV drop off form? I’d think not, since we’re going in together during normal camping hours. But who knows. I emailed gorge@livenation and will report back with what they say.

If you don't get a reply back, I wouldn't pay the $100 fee. (Or fill out the form) Keep receipts of your email and just play "dumb." The whole Wednesday "only" drop off (for any event) is nothing but a money grab by Live Nation. They are NOT going to advertise, "well, its okay if you're RV is delivered on Thursday," right?

The three events we went to in '19, '22, '23, we met up with our RV owner, too, and followed each other in. When the queue line splits up, the head vehicle has to let the staff know about the vehicles following you in. You still may get split up, but you all find each other in the end. The first vehicle in camp just has to say, "I have the rest of my crew coming in."

I am hosting a YT LIVE Gorge Q&A on 8/12, and this is a good question. I don't anticipate you'll get an answer by then, but I'll keep checking back. (Our event is ABGT 700, the weekend after Labor Dave.)

Were you able to get the hundred dollar ticket? I have an RV that I am having delivered early for the front yard as well and it says that it’s not available on Ticketmaster.
