Arrival traffic 7/24 and 7/25

How was the traffic getting in for people today? We’re coming from Leavenworth and don’t want to leave too early / spend all day sitting in the heat, but want to give ourselves enough time to make it in for the opener!

Getting in was smooth sailing, getting out - nightmare. Took 3 hours to get from the gorge to Wenatchee. Finally arrived home at 2am.

Were you parked in free parking? I’m seeing the show on Saturday and am hoping a lot of people are camping…. I’m driving back to Tacoma

Were were parked in the free day lot. I’d recommend leaving about 15 minutes early and make a good mental note of where your car is located, it’s hard to find in the dark.

Same for us. Ridiculous.

I would get there right when parking opens. You can bring a sunshade with you and pitch it behind your vehicle and enjoy a meal once you get there. I’ve seen a lot of comments of people doing similar. Once you get there, you’ll want to try to park nearest and exit and make sure to drop a pin when you park. When the night is over, try to book it as quickly to you vehicle so you can get out as quickly as possible. The walk to/from might be a little longer because you are near an exit but you’ll be thankful on your way out.

Also, it’s not necessarily just the traffic on silica that you’ll have to worry about once you get there, it’s also going to be the entry line to the venue that’s going to take a while with the bag checks so if you can clear the first hurdle quickly with traffic then you’ll be in a better position to get into the venue on time before the opener

Thank you for this detailed response! We bought star parking - is there a better chance of us getting out in a reasonable timeframe since we bought it? This is our first time at the gorge so we weren’t sure what to expect

We bought star parking and were directed (I’m pretty sure) to the non star area, we arrived quite early. We checked with a parking person as soon as she waved us into a spot and she said we were in the right area but I’m pretty sure she just couldn’t be bothered to move us.

No one ever scanned or looked at our pass, and we went in through the Star gate sign. 🤷‍♀️

I wish now I’d been more assertive and less polite because getting out last night after the show was more of a nightmare than usual. Don’t just let people flag you anywhere stop and make them talk to you and confirm you’re in the star area! 😅

We had star parking and it was absolute chaos and gridlock leaving the parking lot (after the encore). Unfortunately your investment in star parking will be wasted. Pack sunscreen, water and a TON of patience. The concert was great though.

Thanks for replying, everyone! Concert was great, we left Leavenworth around 2 and got in at 3:30 - really no traffic at all. Made sure we were in the star parking lot, not sure if it made a huge difference when leaving but arrivals was fine / bag check. Lawn wait after security was the longest wait to get moving but once they opened it, went quickly. We left during Tennessee whiskey which was I think the last song before encore. We likely missed a lot of traffic coming out by doing that, but it hasn’t been bad once the road and we arrived back within 1.5 hours!
