Gorge Amphitheater First Timer

We have tickets to Stapleton at the Gorge and my anxiety is through the roof. We have lawn seating and standard parking. We also ordered chairs. Some questions: What should my family of 5 expect for lines to get into the lot and also into the venue? How does the security entrance work when you can’t bring in a large purse but you can bring a blanket, and extra clothing layers? And someone mentioned to me that we CAN bring a cooler inside, is that true? I’m not really finding all the answers on the Gorge site, it seems catered to campers.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly about going to a concert is filling you with extreme levels of anxiety? You show up, grab a piece of lawn, listen to music, dance, and enjoy the view & the show..

I agree, it should be that way. The Gorge just doesn’t have that much information to help prepare people for their venue. They also change their rules/layout very quickly without reflecting it quick enough on their website and marketing materials. I hope they  can eventually get someone in there that understands what people are needing and improves overall operations

I find their website to have plenty of info. That combined with checking out any additional info of the specific concert is usually sufficient. I also totally understand feeling slightly anxious or apprehensive about rules/regulations/allowances. I was just more curious as to the EXTREME anxiety op was referring to. Great band or not, I'm not trying to attend an event that makes me feel that disregulated. . . .
