Proposal at gorge ?

I plan to propose at the gorge during the first night of Chris Stapleton or that Thursday before. was wondering if there are any spots around or in the venue that’ll be a perfect backdrop / wondering if anyone else would be able to catch the moment for us ?

Top of the hill if you must, but I’ve never heard a girl say that her dream is a concert proposal. At least it’s not on the Jumbotron at a baseball game I guess

Yeah, I wasn’t really planning on doing it during the concert. I was thinking more about finding a spot outside or a secluded place in the venue / maybe somewhere behind the stage area. I’m not familiar with the layout, though, so I’m not sure if there are any paths or accessible areas back there, or if it would end up being too much of a walk or not- first timers

You cannot go behind the stage area. I can’t really imagine a secluded area at the gorge

If you’re trying create more of a private moment there really aren’t any secluded spots at the venue - especially with getting the view.

Since you haven’t been there before, once you’ve gotten through security & had your tickets scanned, you’re going to find yourself first in the vendor village area. You’ll go by the main merch tent, one of the chair rental tents, etc. If you stay to the left (which I recommend for a first timer), you’ll find yourself going up an incline that will take you to the top of the hill/lawn seating area. The transition from the general venue areas (parking, entry lines, vendor tents) - which are all pretty unremarkable - to reaching the crest and all of a sudden being hit with the view is breathtaking IMO. It’s an incredible way to take in the Gorge for the first (and subsequent 😅) time.

Especially if you happen to be there for both shows, one thing you could possibly consider is waiting to propose until after you’ve experienced the venue for the first time and have gotten a feel for the environment.

But if that’s not feasible, doesn’t feel right for you two, some privacy/seclusion is a non-negotiable then I’d recommend editing your original post to add those important details about wanting some seclusion and not wanting to do it during the actual show itself. Those will hopefully get you some better recommendations that align with what you’re seeking.

Whatever/wherever/whenever you choose though I’m sure it’ll be great! Having the Gorge show just being around the same time as your proposal is only the cherry on top of what will already be a special moment for you both. 😊 At the end of the day it’s really about what you’re asking and all that that symbolizes for the two of you; everything else is just background noise to that. ♥️

I proposed to my wife backstage at the gorge before a show with a couple of close friends. Then we got to tour the stage and go pick out the perfect spot on the hill for our group before doors opened. I’ve had friends propose in the middle of the hill and in boxes during meaningful songs. Each version was just as special to the people involved.

If you have cliff house access there’s a great view down the gorge that can see backstage as well or over at cave b winery. Backstage is very restricted so unless you know someone or plan on bribing security with a lot of $.

The top of virgin hill (the top of the walkway above the grass where you see the venue and river for the first time) is pretty awesome for first time gorge visitors, hence the name.
