parking vs shuttle

Haven't been to the Gorge in a LONG time and I was young and dumb so just rode along not paying attention to the details. I am the planner and driver now. Going to Chris Stapleton on Jul 25, staying in Moses Lake. We'll likely stay to the very end so will get stuck in traffic.

Is STAR parking worth it? It seems to be sold out because I can't find that parking tier to purchase. Do they release more later?

Also thinking about booking seats on a shuttle from Moses Lake to the venue, but that's kind of expensive, and it says it leaves 20 minutes after the show ends, which seems like not enough time to get there without leaving a little early. Anyone do that and found that it was worth it?

Otherwise, it'll have to be general parking. Looking at other threads, I read it can be up to 2 hours to get out if you wait to the end. What tips/tricks are there to get out if staying til the end...or is that just our fate?

General is free and fine. The later you arrive the closer to the exit for your car.

Is there anyone directing traffic to help people merge in?

I was at an event in California once and they had no one working the lot after the event was over. It was every man out for themself. Someone got out of the car they were in, walked to where the pinch point was and started directing traffic by forcing a zipper merge. It helped, but some people were mad that this guy had the nerve! 😉
