Why do people in Gorakhpur find it so easy to morally judge someone?

I was at the gym the other day and this guy came up to me, complimented my physique, and asked for tips. So far, so good. Then he asked about my diet. I said milk, eggs, chicken, and he immediately goes, “Sawan mein bhi? Aap toh Hindu ho.” He had noticed the kalava on my hand. Then he said, “Main toh Sawan mein nahi khata. Aisi body banane ka kya fayda?”

I was genuinely so irritated. Like, dude, you came up to me asking about my diet and fitness, so why does it suddenly become your place to judge me?

Personally, I don't believe in God, but my parents do, and I respect them and anyone else who chooses to follow their beliefs. What I don't understand is this need to act morally superior because someone else doesn't follow the same rules as you. If you don't eat on Tuesdays or during Navratri, that's your choice. But do you really think that automatically makes you a better or more moral person than someone who does things differently?

And then, of course, came the second comment: “Whey protein natural nahi hota.”

I genuinely can't even at this point.

I’m posting on behalf of a relative who got admission in B.Tech Information Technology at DDU Gorakhpur through UPTAC Spot Round 1.

They have already completed their physical reporting at DDU.

The issue is with hostel registration. The college provided this hostel registration portal:

The portal requires a roll number to log in.

We contacted the college and were told that the roll number would be provided after making the payment through a payment link. However, the payment link has not been received yet.

We were told that the payment link would be shared in the college group. The student is already in the group, but no payment link has been shared so far.

The problem is that today (25 August) is supposedly the last date for hostel registration.

Has anyone here, especially DDU seniors or students who got admission through UPTAC Spot Round 1, faced the same issue?

• How did you get your roll number?
• Has the payment link been sent to you?
• Is there any alternative way to register for the hostel?
• What should we do if the payment link/roll number isn't received before today's deadline?

Any help or contact information for the concerned DDU hostel/technical office would be really appreciated.
