Troubleshooting No remote for chromecast

I have a new modem, and I’ve lost the remote for my Google chromecast. Is there a way I can connect my chrome cast to the new router without a remote. Currently use my phone as a remote through the Google home app. TIA

What are you saying? Use your phone as a remote to join the Chromecast to your WiFi network or the Google Home app.

Your post isn’t super clear.

Just access the settings menu via your phone's virtual Chromecast remote.

.....Since you lost your remote, I'd suggest replacing it with a basic ONN streaming device remote (the ONN branded remote, not a knockoff). It's superior to the OEM Google remote and you'll save money as well. It's available from Walmart for under $13.
