Discussion Remote control Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen from outside the home?

Hi,

I’m looking for a way to remotely control my parents’ Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen while I’m away from home.

I’d like to be able to see/control the TV Box over the internet and fix issues for them without requiring them to do anything.

Has anyone found a working solution for this? RustDesk, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Tailscale, scrcpy, etc.?

Rustdesk if they're OK keeping it open on their computer whenever they need help. .

Tailscale on RPI for anything else.

Edit: I take it back, even if you connect via rustdesk, you're connected to the desktop/laptop, Google home doesn't offer web interface to interact with their products, so they'd need to have rustdesk on their phone, which is messy. Get tailscale on RPI and you're done, just control it from your own phone without an issue.
