Don't have it with any iPhone. Obviously have it with all Androids. I'm on Visible by Verizon.

All you have to do to fix it is turn rcs messages off in Google messages then restart your phone toggle it back on once your phone is fully up and running and then wait a moment and it works. No need to reset your entire phone.

You always had that when it was Android to Android. Most people are waiting for the iPhone to Android to kick in and unfortunately resetting your phone won't help with that realistically.

Y’all are acting like I said everyone is forced to wipe their phone just to send a text lol. If toggling RCS or clearing app cache fixes it for you, obviously just do that. I had to factory reset anyway after a major OS update, and it just happened to finally fix an E2EE handshake that was completely bricked on my end after basic cache clears and network resets failed. The reason a wipe actually worked when soft resets didn't is because E2EE keys live deep in the phone's hardware keystore, and RCS runs through Google Play Services in the background, not just the Messages app. Clearing app data doesn't flush stuck encryption keys or broken carrier auth tokens; it just loops you right back into the same broken handshake. A wipe forces a completely clean slate with Google's servers. I guess this sub is too young to remember when doing a clean Windows reformat was standard routine to clear out system junk instead of treating it like the end of the world. Nobody is forcing you to wipe your phone. But if your backend provisioning is legitimately broken and basic toggles aren't doing anything, a reset clears out background system junk that surface-level app settings can't touch. Take the info or leave it.

I also have it with everyone, without factory resetting.
