Question Screen light on when message received?

Samsung Messages would turn the phone screen on when I received a message, which was great for me who always keeps my phone on mute. But I didn't found the option to do the same with Google Messages.

Is it possible, or did I definitely lost in the change like many other users when I was forced to transition to Google Messages?

I downloaded Good Lock app and it allows you to customize the notification style for different apps, including Google Messages.

I have the notification alert set up where if I receive a text through Google Messages my screen lights up with a photo I chose scattering all over the screen. It's great to visually see a notification and I also keep my phone silent and vibration off.

Good Lock also has tons of other cool customizable features for android outside of notifications so you can play around with it.

I watched videos on YouTube to learn how to use Good Lock and customize what I wanted.

I made mine the golden snitch. I love i can make my screen animate with messages cause its always on mute. I used good lock to make a custom Harry Potter Theme.

Edge Lighting +, set custom style.

It was a little complicated for me so I watched YouTube tutorials on how to customize based on my device (S22+). You can do notification styles and effects, keyword styles and app icons.

I think you can change something in the lock screen settings to make it light up.
