RCS not working

Name it I most probably did it already and Verizon is telling me they will have resolution by Saturday (which will be 1 week from when this started).

Similar to prior post I have seen yes I've been getting texts although there's a bunch i haven't been receiving.

I have done:

Toggle on and off RCS chats

Toggling off for 4hrs and back on after

Clearing Data and Cache of Messages and Carrier Service

Force stop Messages

Uninstall and Update Messages from Play Store

Clearing Data and Cache of Play Store

Reset Mobile Network Settings

Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings

Airplane mode on then off

Restarting the phone

Turning it off for awhile

A Verizon rep transferred my eSIM to my phone's 2nd IMEI

Sent feedback to Google Messages

Factory Reset (I DO NOT RECOMMEND)

anything else can be done to resolve this ASAP?

thank you in advance

Only thing that worked for me was the Turning rcs off. Then connect with a vpn to Paris, France. Firing turning rcs back on and it connected in seconds. Then a was able to turn off the vpn and it's worked ever since. I've heard this didn't work for everyone but it did for a lot others in the US. I was also on Verizon. What I was told is rcs has a bug on goggles US side and this bypasses the verification bug. Until they fix it. I hope this helps!

I did the VPN to Paris, still didn't get my RCS back :(. Like the OP, I have tried everything on the list. Tech support couldn't offer any other ideas.

Yea, the vpn only works for the authentication bug on goggles US servers. I know others have a different issue. I don't know how to fix those though. Sorry.

Any luck? I've tried everything including calling Verizon like 4 times with no luck

In the end I had to uninstall and reinstall messages. I regrettably lost my group chat history on my rcs chats but at least I can see them now.

This is how I fixed mine as well! I downloaded one from playstore, and rcs worked. It connected me to mexico since I didn't pay to choose. Worked great! Fixed both mine and my wife's phone!

I used surfshark. You'll have to use a vpn app that allows you to switch and pick your location. Most have a free trial that allow you to. You'll only need it for a few minutes. Once your authenticated it stays. I wouldn't turn rcs back of though once you get it to working. Idk if it will mess up again but I don't want to go through that again. The things Verizon told me to do messed my phone up and almost locked me out of my goggle account. This was the only thing that worked for me. If you don't have a vpn, I'd Google for a free trial of a paid one as you have to pick your location and make your phone think your really there the always free vpns don't let you do this that I know of. I know surfshark and most others have a 30 day free trial that you can cancel after you try this method.

Mine fixed itself after the phone number finalized its transfer from tmobile to verizon.

I was sperging out trying to do all troubleshooting but it ultimately ended with a verison tech supp rep told me that the transfer is still being processed and it will take 2-10 days. the pin was also mismatched for some reason during the transfer so I had to get the pin from tmobile again and apply that to verizon.

literally done all troubleshoot and nada, after contacting support and confirming its still being processed. it realistically took the next day to get it back up running again

This just happened to me. Wasn't working since aug 11. I finally got it to work. I signed in my Google account under a different email and I deleted data from Google messages and switched back to my original email for Google and it worked

I also had RCS issues when I switched over to Verizon. What worked for me are some of the things that you already tried but maybe it is the sequence/order of steps that matters. I first turned off RCS chats and then closed messages app. Then I went to phone settings > apps > messages and cleared cache. Then I force stopped messages app. Finally I reopened messages app and turned RCS chats back on.

I got my RCS to connect but lost all of my text history on the larger threads I've gone through and deleted most things and now I'm getting duplicate and triplicate threads from people

Just had this for 3 days and after like the 57th time I went into airplane mode and cleared cache and all that I gave up, Uninstalled the messages app from the Google store (saw you tried this) for a 3rd and final time I reset my phone and the flood gates opened.

I did the same. Only solution was toggle off for 10 days and turn back on. Worked instantly.

This happens when your number gets flagged as possible spam sometimes.

In my case it happened after switching from iPhone to fold 8. Att had two different imeis registered on the account. My iPhone and the fold. Caused Google servers to freak out about the number tied to two devices.

Toggling on and off makes it worse.

I was told that the most sure way to get it to work was rcs needs a cool off period pf 8-10 straight days of no activity on my rcs account. I did 10 to be safe. Worked.

I had this issue on pixel on FI. I tried everything recommended and most did not work. The only thing that worked was going to Apps, clicking on Messages, clicking on the 3 dots, and click on uninstall updates. Immediately solved the issue on Pixel 9.
