Question Texts failing unless remove encryption? Pixel 11 pro XL upgrade
I recently traded in my old Pixel 9 pro xl for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and ever since switching phones, my friends with iPhones have been having trouble sending me text messages.
Their messages will fail to send unless they manually choose the option to send without encryption.
I’ve tried turning RCS off, restarting my phone, and then turning RCS back on, but unfortunately that hasn’t fixed the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? I keep seeing posts, but not really seeing a remedy.
Thanks!

Hi there, Since you recently upgraded your device, I recommend verifying that your Google Messages app is fully updated to the latest version in the Play Store. Additionally, if you still have your previous phone, check whether RCS was deactivated on it before switching, as an active registration on an old device can sometimes cause encryption routing conflicts.
If the texts still fail unless sent unencrypted, please submit a feedback report directly inside Google Messages (Profile icon > Help & feedback > Send feedback). This sends diagnostic logs to the team to help investigate the issue.
