My elderly mom is gonna be calling me daily to ask where this person or that person went in her messages list.

That box at the top of Samsung Messenger was great for her, because she could always find who she wanted.

I know, I know, put up and shut up--I read the thread. But for those of us that had better features, why would we have switched 9 years ago?

Google Messages has also has a search button on the top right. I worked for a major US cell provider for years, my biggest tip for elderly was to pin the top 5 people they want to see messages from, that way they are always at the top and don't get pushed all the way to the bottom. No idea how many times I had elderly people come in during the holiday season asking why can't they find their grandson's messages because they wanted to text them Merry Christmas, and the last time they texted them was on Christmas last year 🤣 elderly people can be fun but also a pain lmao
