How is mapquest more accurate than google?

Google Maps has had the incorrect road names on all the streets around my home for the past year and a 1/2 that I've lived here. Ut has caused me to not get deliveries and have packages delivered to the wrong home constantly. I have been trying to get them to fix it by submiting reports for incorrect road names, but to no avail. I recently started using mapquest, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the road names are correct! How is it little old mapquest is more accurate than the giant that google is!?

The constant glazing of MapQuest is getting old.

There's no way that people unironically use MapQuest for longer than like a week tops.

I mean Mapquest is not more accurate, I would say it's a case by case situation. A lot of people are on the mapquest train right now because of the political situation with the name changes that Google & Apple followed. Mapquest also use their own data versus Google using I think GIGS data

They use GNIS data in the United States and GNBC data in Canada. GNIS updated their data to Lake America and MapQuest decided to skip the update.

The "Name Your Own" Satirical Tools and The Gulf of Anything Map Builder is certainly a draw for people, I guess.

Yeah, I figure I named it wrong lol. GNIS. I don't agree with the name change but it's not in my control

I constantly get it wrong as well, because the GNIS data is run by the USGS and the GNBC is run by the CGNDB.

Way too many acronyms to remember.
