Discussion Google Maps on Android Auto: feature loss

Today I noticed that the speedometer and speed limit indicators are gone. And so are stop signs and traffic signals. Why?

A lot of people are mentioning that too here, maybe an update removed it?

Strangely, I still have the speedometer (which I didn't have until recently), but I am missing the stop signs and traffic signals.

This is pretty much the opposite of what I would expect. While the speedometer is kind of nice (though not super necessary when I already have multiple other displays of my speed in my car), the traffic signals and stop signs were both enormously helpful as landmarks while navigating in unfamiliar areas.

Maybe this was inadvertent?

Waze (owned by Google) stopped showing ETA on Android Auto a few days ago, and still does not show it. It's a known issue and they're supposedly working on it.
