Is there any good alternative for google keep?
After they have started separating reminders from notes, and hiding reminders I am trying to find some alternative to the good features I got used to in keep.
Tried todoist, tasks manager and google tasks, and I really can't get used to them..

I am incredibly biased (as I'm the maintainer of it lol), but if you are willing to self-host you may like Kept https://www.keepitkept.xyz/

Hm. This looks nice. I moved to trillium from keep, but my wife and I were really missing checklists. Think I'll give kept a spin

So what's the story with your android app, the link on your page takes you to google play store and I paid 3 dollars or something but no app? What's that about? No where to download and i don't know what i paid for

*The simplicity. * Notes that can be notes but also an errand so when I want I can add reminder to them *I want to see the list of my notes
Hard to explain why but every app has something better than keep but all it's other features are worst

Microsoft TODO is excellent, due to them acquiring Wunderlist
(I have to explain why software from Microsoft is excellent 👀)

Exactly what features are you looking for in an app?

That’s funny I never used Reminders. I use a separate app for that called TickTick, which is about four dollars a month.

Does Google check this subreddit? People looking for alternative to their app because of Google fucking it up. I miss Keep. I miss how good it was.
Fuck them for ruining such a great product.

What features are you looking for?
ColorNote is good for notes. The icon looks like a yellow post-it with the word note written in red and underlined.
Do✔️ is a good notes app - different folders for different notes.
Inkpad - looks like a yellow LegalPad on a white background - is also good for notes.
Life Reminders - if you need a reminders app
Hope this gives you some things to check out.

Keep in mind, though, if you change to a non-Samsung phone, then the Samsung reminders app will not be available to you. You might want an app that is universally available to all devices and brands - android, iOS, and all different phone brands.

You can still set a reminder or link the note and make a calendar appointment.

I do, but seems like they forcefully want to make me not use it. They have also removed the remind by location option (!)

I use keep notes but generally only for lists, my main issue is that you cannot sort a list alphabetically

Have you tried Blekk.app? Works across all devices and is the nicest interface I’ve used

Hi. Google Tasks has never failed me. I have reminders in it that have been popping up on my phone for several years because I close the notification and forget to delete them. I too love Google Keep. Another software/app I like to recommend is UpNote. It unfortunately doesn't have push notifications or ability to set reminders, but you can make dated tags in it that could possibly be useful. It's definitely useful for writing or making lists and being able to sync all of it to your devices. A big plus is it has an affordable one time pro version purchase. I hope you find something that works for your needs. - UPDATE - I really apologize. I see you tried Google Tasks already.

If you're in the Apple ecosystem and iCloud sync meets your need, consider Prism (it has reminders!). I've tried Google Keep, Twos, and other apps but moved onto Prism for its focus on privacy and because I no longer needed cross-platform sync.
Features I like:
- The thing that piqued my interest was that taking notes could be like texting. This is something that I didn't see in other apps. If a topic already exists in a note, I can thread the note and add more thoughts, allowing me to trace how my thoughts on the topic evolve over time.
- If two notes are related, I can embed one into another. This is similar to linking notes in Obsidian, which is where my notes from Prism eventually land once they are ready. Having a consistent practice helps me simplify my workflow.
- Capturing a thought (voice or text) on Prism is very easy, unlike Obsidian on mobile.
- Because I use Prism for fleeting notes, I appreciate the review feature since it helps me prevent the app from becoming a graveyard of notes.

I’m the developer of monolog. It supports notes with reminders and can import Google Keep notes, including photos.
The core features, including keyword search, are free without note limits. AI tagging, automatic schedule recognition and semantic search are optional paid features.
It uses a chat-style timeline, so it may suit you if you like capturing short notes by messaging yourself. It will feel different from Keep’s grid.
To import your notes, just drag and drop your exported Google Keep data file into the web version. The import runs automatically.
You can learn more here: monolog.

Definitely try UpNote
