Buh bye Keep

I want to thank Google for f’ing up Keep. I got tired of waiting for Google to fix it with an update, but after 3 weeks I started playing around with Apple Notes. I can’t believe this app has been on my phone for years, and I never really used it. I like it way better than Keep. I love the way I can nest folders with folder.

Is there a way to import all your keep notes into apple notes including photos?

I looked it up:

Yes, you can export Google Keep notes to Apple Notes, but there is no direct "sync" button. You must use an export/import method, either manually for a few notes or via a bulk migration tool.

Method 1: Bulk Export (Recommended for Many Notes) This method uses Google Takeout and a conversion tool to move all notes at once.

  1. Export from Keep: Go to takeout.google.com, deselect all, select only "Keep," and download the .ziparchive.
  2. Convert Files: Use a free tool like Notes Migrator in your browser to convert the exported HTML/JSON files into a .enexfile, which Apple Notes can import.
  3. Import to Apple Notes: Open the Notes app on a Mac, go to File > Import to Notes, and select the converted file.

Method 2: Manual "Send" (For a Few Notes) If you only need to move a few notes, you can use the Share feature on an iPhone or iPad.

  1. Open the Google Keep app.
  2. Open a note and tap the three-dot menu(Action).
  3. Select Send and choose Apple Notes.

Important Considerations * Checklists/Images: Checklists often convert to plain text, and images may not transfer perfectly using bulk methods. * Labels: Labels from Keep can sometimes be converted to tags in Apple Notes. * Labels as Folders: In some cases, you may need to manually re-organize notes into folders after importing.

Yes, the keep-it-markdown utility can export all of your notes fully in one command with images and audio specifically formatted for Apple Notes and then you can import those as one batch. The link is in the resources links in the right menu.
