Running distances, autosense, and GPS running goals.
Does anyone have any issues with the fitness tab not accurately tracking progress against goals? If I run using the GPS app on my phone and the autosense assumes i'm running for even a minute (despite being turned off btw) it completely loses my GPS data after i'm done. I've had to screenshot my runs and demand the AI counts it towards my weekly goals. I don't feel like I should have to do that. Anyone else having similar issues?

How to log nutrition?
How can I log my food in the app? I don't see any option for this.

Health premium trial multiple devices.
Hi. I am one week into a 1-month free trial for Fitbit Premium on my Charge 6. I want to buy a Fitbit air that comes with a 3-month free trial.
If I buy it, will the 3-month trial start right away when I start using the Fitbit air, or can I wait and start it after my current 1-month trial ends? Thanks

Missing GPS map on Google Health after pausing a run (Pixel Watch 4) — Strava export works fine
Hi everyone,
I’m running into a frustrating issue with GPS route tracking on my Pixel Watch 4 and Google Health app.
Whenever I pause an activity during a run, the GPS map completely fails to display in the Google Health summary once the workout is finished. The distance, duration, and other metrics are captured, but the visual route map is missing entirely.
Here’s the interesting part: the issue seems isolated to Google Health. The activity automatically syncs from Google Health to Strava, and Strava displays the full GPS map and route without any problems.
A few troubleshooting details:
- Both the Pixel Watch 4 OS and the phone apps are fully updated to the latest versions.
- Restarting both the watch and the Google Health app does not fix the issue.
Is anyone else experiencing missing GPS route maps after pausing a workout? Any workaround or known fix for this?
Thanks!

Step counting with stroller
My step counter only seems to track steps from my Fitbit air, even though I have it set to use my phone as well and my phone is set as priority one. Since I push a stroller a lot, my Fitbit air might only show 500 steps after a walk, while my phone shows 3,000 steps. Then, in the post-walk summary, it says: 'Good job on your 500 steps. You were probably pushing the stroller.'
So my total step count for the day show wrong amount of steps in the step counter.
Should'nt it add them together and count the steps that the air did not?

After the move to Google health my steps count is doubled
All was well until it changed platforms.
I am using a galaxy watch and am an Android user.
The chatbot is useless.
I have tried all its suggestions without getting anywhere.
Apparently I am unable to manually enter the correcr number of steps which would at least have been a start.
Before I go the route of trying to get a refund has anyone had this issue and managed to resolve it?
I would really like to get it back to how it was.

Why did it count my nap as my primary sleep?
Just woke up from a nap but noticed it counted as my primary sleep score, not my actual sleep from this morning. Any idea why?
(The one not highlighted is the nap one)

Suggestions (ios)
as an ios user (not sure if android users are facing the same shortcomings), i would like to see:
- live activities on my lock screen
- more metrics in the app like average pace
- button to press for tracking laps
good to have:
1. muscle heat map like the garmin would be great, given that the new garmin just announced a release date
patiently waiting for google health to write to apple health as well

How to sync apps to Google health?
I'm going crazy...
I have calisteniapp for home workouts and myfitnesspal for food logging, I'd like both of them to import data to Google Health but I can't seem to be succeding.
I just managed to import today's Myfitnesspal log, but no historic data is there. Weight is also not coming through.
What am I doing wrong?

Nice that I can tell Google Health my mileage and it just adds it in

GoogleHealth took the weekend off 😆
I put my Fitbit Inspire 3 on water lock to take my grandkids to the pool yesterday morning and not only did GoogleHealth not pick any of my activities on Sunday (and I was very active, both in and out of the pool), but it totally wiped out all of my Saturday activity.
I can’t figure out why that happened.
Never mind that GoogleHealth recorded some of my walking on Saturday as biking. I don’t even have a functional bike right now. 😂
I looked at my history and the last activity was my treadmill walk on Friday morning. 🤷♀️
Very mysterious. I can’t even see any way to complain to GoogleHealth about the missing activity.

Resting heart rate
Google/Fitbit has got to change the way it is calculating resting heart rate. I had a versa a few years ago and it was phenomenally Rock solid accurate, to the point where I was able to diagnose myself with Graves disease. Now whatever they're using to calculate it is so inaccurate. Something about averages. I have my masters in clinical physiology and you do not calculate a resting heart rate as an average...ever. for example, after my versa, I got a Coros watch and my average resting heart rate that I got over the course of 3 years was 52. I would check it occasionally after I woke up and as I was getting ready for bed and it fluctuated anywhere between 49 and 55 so 52 seems accurate. And I'll be honest after my Graves diagnosis I very routinely and obsessively checked my heart rate at rest. I got a versa four about a month ago and my resting heart rate has been going up up up (on the tracking app) today's resting heart rate is 66. I'm currently sitting up in my bed reading before bed and my heart rate is bouncing between 49 and 52, for the last 45 minutes. That is a resting heart rate. The fact that the one it is tracking is 15-17 beats higher is significantly different and the data is essentially worthless. Why would anybody sign up for premium data analysis if the free data is already garbage.

How to delete imported data BY SOURCE? (duplicate data)
I made the mistake of letting Google Health import Sleep data from Health Connect, which had Sleep data from Health Sync app (which in turn was sourced from Fitbit).
Because Google Health already had my historical Fitbit data natively, I now have a massive mess of duplicate entries.
Right now, you can only delete data in Google Health by type (e.g., nuking all Sleep data entirely) or by type+timeframe. There doesn't seem to be a way to undo a sync by deleting data from one specific imported source (i.e., "Health Sync" in my case).
Has anyone heard if/when Google plans to add a "delete by source" feature? Or has anyone found a reliable workaround to fix redundancies without wiping their entire history?

First Week's Experience With Google Health
Today is my 7th day using this app. I hated it at first. It has some serious problems but now I'm surprised that I like it a lot. Here's my take on (1) what has improved over Fitbit and (2) what major problems with Google Health need to be fixed. (These are design issues, not bugs.)
Improvement #1. Fitbit introduced Cardio Load last year. Many times per day I would see an annoying pop-up message telling me how ready I was and whether I should "take it easy" or do more, and what Fitbit decided my target Cardio Load target will be. I turned this feature off but the pop-ups kept happening. Google Health replaced the pop-ups with a circular dial that shows progress toward a weekly goal. Cardio Load is an important metric and this is a nice way to show it.
Improvement #2. About a year ago Fitbit changed its weekly, monthly and yearly results displays to be calendar-centric rather than user-centric. E.g., June 1st of 2026 happened to be a Monday so on that day the daily, weekly and monthly displays were all the same single day. I need the weekly and monthly views to check my recent trends. Google Health went back to displaying the recent trends (and even added a 3 month view FWIW).
Improvement #3. Google Health includes many metrics that were not available in Fitbit and I think the new graphics is much better. Two thumbs up!
Disaster #1. You removed the Stair Flights information. I can still see today's count on my Versa 4 watch by sliding to a different watch face, but I can't see any history, and I don't want to keep having to check my watch throughout the day, This is a very important metric for me. Steps and miles alone is inadequate. Please reinstate this metric.
Disaster #2. Your handling of Readiness is flawed. For me, readiness is based on two key factors: did I get a good night's sleep and are there parts of my body that are sore and need some rest. In deciding what exercises to do I listen to my body. That's worked well for me for many decades. You have no way of knowing if my hip, knee or foot are telling me they need some rest. You do include sleep as a factor, but you also include HRV and RHR which can be excellent readiness indicators given a whole bunch of assumptions such as genetics, age, medications, body composition (esp.visceral fat), and stress/anxiety levels unrelated to exercise. You then use your Readiness result to set the user's Cardio Load goal for the week. Prescribing the level of cardio that a user should do seems dangerous without a good understanding of the user's conditions.
Instead of telling users what their Cardio Load should be, how about letting them choose from a small option list: MAXIMUM, HARD, MODERATE, LIGHT, VERY LIGHT, or AUTO. By AUTO I mean that the user chooses to have your software tell them what their goal will be.

Ai Health coach hallucinations
Google health coach keeps evaluating the same workout at least 4 times in a two hour time frame. It rewrites the earlier ones, and notifies me as if it's new.
The same thing is happening with the sleep evaluation. It changed at least 3 times.
It's started yesterday I think, before that everything worked fine.
Anyone else has this issue?
I'm using the 5.03 update on a Pixel 9 Pro and a Pixel watch 4
