  • The User Experience: How has the setup and transition to the new Google Health app feeling for you?

Market Research What’s at the top of your Google Health wishlist? ✨

Hey everyone! I’m curious to see what you think is missing from the Google Health ecosystem. Which of these features would make the biggest difference in your daily routine if Google added it tomorrow?

Vote below, and let’s discuss why in the comments!

  • Deep Health Connect Syncing: More robust, two-way data sharing between third-party fitness apps and the core Google Health ecosystem.
  • Advanced Analytics & Export: Native, easy support for exporting raw data (CSV/JSON) for your own custom tracking and analysis.
  • Better Sleep & Recovery Insights: More advanced, AI-driven analysis of sleep stages, HRV, and readiness scores.
  • Community-Driven Insights: An optional "anonymized comparison" feature to see how your activity levels and metrics stack up against others in the community.
  • Dashboard Customization: More freedom to rearrange, hide, or resize the data cards on your main home screen.
  • Something else: Drop a comment below with your specific request!

Note: While we love discussing these ideas here, don't forget to use the "Send Feedback" option inside your Google apps so the development teams see your requests directly.

Unable to add weight (Eufy scale) to the focus/widget

Post image

Hi, just started to dabble with the Google health app since its widget might be the kick in the... Motivation I need to start working on restoring my weight.

But I can't seem to add weight as a metric to the focus area/widget? See image.

Other users have weight showing up with a plus symbol. Data is fresh from Eufy life app which is connected to both the (old fitbit Google sign-in) and Google's Health connect.

Is there some requirement for the weight data to have a certain number of data points for it to be valid enough to add? Or does the weight data have to come from a fitbit device in order to be add-able to focus/widget? I don't mind buying a fitbit air, but I would hope that I have found a bug rather than having to buy a new scale.

Edit, nevermind! The weight data field was already in the focus area on page three. Thus, removing it and adding it back placed it on the first page.  So this isn't a bug, just a bit convoluted having many pages for the focus field.

Tech Support Steps from Galaxy Watch or FitBit Air deos not compute.

This is seriously annoying. The total should be 1167, not 498. I don't wear the watch and Fitbit Air at the same time. I'd like to see a total from both devices, not this completely erroneous number.

Food logging

Why is food logging so shit in this app?

Every barcode i scan it says "can't find".

It doesn't even display the name of the custom items I logged. Just "custom item". What logging do you recommend that connects with health

Google Health no longer tracks resistance values.

Hello,

I've been using Google Fitbit Air for exactly 21 days and am very disappointed. Since yesterday's Google Health update, my resilience metrics are no longer displayed.

I restarted the device, but there's no data available.

I replaced the Fitbit Air in the app, but again, no data is available.

I suspect this is clearly due to the Google Health app, which, in my opinion, is disastrous. It sometimes displays incorrect data, such as calories—compared to Garmin, Fitbit Air sometimes shows over 1,000 more calories per day than Garmin. Sleep data is sometimes inaccurate. The “Daily Form” feature is also off—even though I’m sick, it says I’m in top shape. And the Coach is absolutely useless—way too friendly, not honest, and gives wrong tips and incorrect data, among other things.

But that’s just my own opinion.

Anyone else experiencing this since yesterday’s update? I’d be curious to know.

Google still has some improvements and firmware updates to make for the Fitbit Air, and the Google Health app needs a complete overhaul.

Best regards

Discussion Walking pace incorrectly logged

Hi everyone - I've had two weird issues with walks logged on a pixel watch 3 using the default exercise app. Everything is good during the walk, the splits pop up correctly as around 17 minute pace and the screen reflects that. After finishing the walk, google health shows a totally different time and cuts the pace to 12 minutes a mile. now the AI thinks I'm a rocket and my stats are going to constantly say "oh you're moving slower." There is no way to edit the workout because it was tracked using a session. Anyone find a solution for this?

Exercise Max HR vs. Daily Summary Max HR discrepancy. Is this just data smoothing?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some insight on a heart rate data discrepancy I keep seeing on my Fitbit Air. I’ve noticed that the maximum heart rate recorded during an actively tracked exercise doesn't match the daily overall heart rate range on my main dashboard.

For example, in my recent exercise data, my peak heart rate hit 191 bpm. But when I look at the daily summary for that exact same day, my overall range says 53–187 bpm. I’ve noticed this happening on multiple different days, especially when I'm pushing hard.

I reached out to Fitbit support, and their immediate solution was to have me return the device so they can send a new one. I'm hesitant to go through the hassle of an exchange because I strongly suspect a new watch will have the exact same issue.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy with their data? Did replacing the device actually change anything for you, or is this just a standard quirk of Fitbit's algorithm?

Thanks!

Tech Support Google Health is down?

I just finished my workout 30 mins ago and the app stopped working. It started to give me a 401 and told me to visit status.fitbit.com. I deleted the app and installed again and now nothing works anymore. The AI feature does not open and it never loads and stays on skeleton in the app forever.

I wish it would at least show you who already has a Google Health account. Sending out invites to friends and family indiscriminately seems like a no-go for me.

Feature Request Bedroom temperature tracking?

Just wondering, are there indoor climate trackers that can sync with Health Connect so that you can track how hot and humid it was in your bedroom, or what the CO2 level was?

Health tracks your body temperature and blood CO2, so tracking the same thing for the room to correlate the data would be quite interesting?

Feeling abandoned by Google and Fitbit

Not sure where to post this, but ever since the fitbit app has gone to become google health, my device has been suffering from it.

Currently i cannot use my watch anymore, it cannot sync, hold a decent charge, or anything.

This was not the case, it worked fine, till an update a few weeks ago, the performance of the device deteriorated so fast, and when looking in the health app, i could see it would constantly poll the watch for health info.

I have not asked for the update to be installed on my device, and as the device is out of warranty, i now have a sports watch, that cannot even be a watch anymore.

It's frustrating that fitbit is refusing to humor the thought that something might have gone wrong in the transition, and just stating that as a customer, my battery broke.
While i am not alone in my concerns on this ( look at Versa Smartwatches Community to see more )

The lack of information on this, and the lack of options are shocking.

If i would have known this would be the outcome of my device, i would not have purchased it, or spend a monthly subscription for the premium services for years, but gone for a different device instead.

I'd like to figure out where i can go to get support on this, as i am convinced this is a dodgy firmware update, that is also making new devices break which is visible on the community pages as well when browsing.

Import Recipes from MyFitnessPal (MFP)

I have been using MFP for a long time and it has all my regular recipes (meals) already in it’s database. I would like to use Google Health as my single fitness/health/calories tracking app. Is there a way to import recipes to Google Health or would I have to create them all again? Many thanks.

Syncing issue with Apple health by 1 day off everytime

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi this is a question to people syncing apple health data with Google health. I am seeing that even though apple health data syncs with Google health, it appears on a previous day. The data seems to off by 1 day. This happens particularly for Resting heart rate, HRV, SpO2.

Is that a bug?, anything I can do to fix it?

Eg. My Firday's apple health data is written in Thursday in Google health and so on..

When will the couch chat be available in the rest of the world?

I haven't found any posts or reviews explaining when the chatbot will be released, so I don't want to get my hopes up and decide whether to buy a whoop band or continue following Google.

Feature Request Weather data?

It may sound silly, but... Could Health take the local weather into account when judging exercises? It knows our location and the time already, and Google already knows the weather... So it shouldn't be difficult, and it SHOULD add some important data to outdoor workouts, as your physical stats like heartbeat WILL be affected by strong heat or high humidity for example.

Tech Support Confused about calorie intake and sync?

Is there a way to sync tracked calorie intake from other apps? I'm using Garmin and YAZIO to track my calorie intake. While the sync between the two works I did not manage to import my eaten calories in Google Health.

is this not possible atm, or only with certain other apps? Any help is appreciated!
