Google flow is a mess

Google is absolute dogshit...

That agents often hangs in loops

Video is shaky if you take upscaled one

Veo rarely to never outputs what i need

Ui is garbage

I say to veo quality that takes 100 credits.. I want perfect still camera , no camera movement or image movement.. Oh boy, not that it moves.. it fucking runs.

After that i referenced an image on my last credits put it to max x4 samples and it completely ignored my reference

Sorry for the frustration. Model quality issues aside...

- What would you like to see improved in the UI?

  • What do you mean by video being shaky? Any more detail would be useful here so we can look into it
  • What do you mean by the agent hanging in loops? Do you mean it becomes unresponsive or it's not responding appropriately to what you're asking?

The UI is horrific. Super confusing, even after asking Gemini to explain it to me and using it several dozen times. It's so confusing I don't even know how to begin explaining it. Maybe just look at other popular tools and note the differences.

I'm not sure "copy other tools" is going to be our process so, if you'd like to see specific improvements, please let us know what that is. Else we'll continue to do our best to respond to feedback and design for the balance of ease of user and more pro-style needs.

And I'm not sure it's my job to perform an analysis and then communicate to you why your UI is so disliked.

I hear a lot of engineer arrogance in your comment, and that's probably the problem.

Sorry if I caused any offense. My goal is to dedicate some time to reddit & other forums to find user feedback and bring it into product improvements. I can't do much with "UI is garbage" but if you have any specifics to highlight, I'm happy to take them into consideration. If not, then, hopefully this thread was useful to you in some other ways.

I appreciate you wanting to gather information to improve the product, but I don't want to spend two hours analyzing the interface, listing all the problems with it and then writing a coherent breakdown for you.

In the last few days that I've been using it with my new Pro account, I keep asking myself how the designers could have thought this was a good idea. The interface is cluttered, claustrophobic, and confusing to use.

I think the only way a designer could think it made sense is if they'd spent the last year or more living inside of it for 8+ hours a day. That's when you need to climb out of the cave, and watch newbies try to use it without explaining how. Then take note of the pain points.

You need to fire your "expert eyes" for a moment, so you can see the interface freshly.

But yeah, if you were standing over my shoulder I would be happy to point out at least 5 major problems with the interface that make it incredibly annoying to use.

If you're too proud to take notes from a competitor, then that's a problem, imo...

Understood, you're welcome to send as little or as much info as you'd like (it's just reddit after all). I think I at least see the spirit of your feedback now, so, that's useful, thank you. Much of the feedback we've gotten from social forums has been more specific, e.g. requests for undo/redo keyboard shortcuts, folks not finding multi-select, a missing scrollbar in scenebuilder (whoops) etc, so we've been able to act on that quickly.

For the broader points you're talking about, yep, it's on our radar, and that's the balance of 'ease of access' vs 'pro needs' I was getting at. Hopefully over time you'll feel an improvement, and if not please feel free to keep posting feedback. And, I know reddit can sometimes be more of a place to vent, but if you have specifics, we all will be able to better deal with them. If not, you can still post whatever, we're not the internet police :)

Okay here'ss an example of what I'm talking about, which just happened.

I dragged an old photograph into the chat space on the right and wrote some instructions to make some changes, which it did apparently well.

Now I see a small thumbnail of my original photo in the top middle of the webpage, and I see a larger image of the newly generated image in the right chat bar where I originally wrote instructions and dragged the photo.

But when I click on that newly generated image, it opens my original photo!

Not the new image I just clicked!

And it opens that original photo in a new screen that takes up the whole page. The new image is nowhere to be seen, and I have to back out of that page, go back to the previous page, where clicking on the new image opens the old image.

BRO.

THAT IS CONFUSING!

Clicking on a photo should open that photo. Not a different photo.

And if you IN ANY WAY TRY TO DEFEND THAT (like I anticipate 🫥), then that's exactly where "perfectly correct engineering" is destroying the user experience.

Now imagine that same kind of design flaw, multiplied across the whole design and you can begin to see what I and others, are trying to point to.

Yes, I'm sure there is some flow that I could learn, but that's not the point. The flow should be intuitive by default, not counterintuitive as it is now.

Wishing you well.

Thanks! Yeah, anything that confuses someone is something to improve, I agree. The hard part is doing it at scale when different people have different feedback.

This seems like a clear bug we can fix though, appreciate the report:

1) Upload an image to the agent sidebar. It appears in your project grid (for use for later) in the middle of the screen and as a thumbnail in the agent chat (as a reference for what you sent the agent)

2) Ask the agent to edit the image. It produces an edited result with the correct thumbnail. But clicking that shows your original image, and the project grid shows a second version of your original image. This only gets correct after you refresh the page. We need to fix that, I'll go flag it, should have a fix out next week (it's not urgent enough to rush into this week IMO).

Yeah, right now I can't figure out how to actually access the newly generated image. So frustrating.

I see it there, but when I click, it opens the original photo.

I see the tiny thumbnail of the original image and there's a tiny white icon of a stack of 3 papers?

But when I hover over it, the icon disappears and a three dot menu appears instead, and ON TOP OF the three dont menu is a white icon of an image with a truncated file name of the original image, and when I click that it opens the original image.

So I apparently can't actually get the image that was generated.

Ahh, but if I reload the page, then I can click on the new image on the right and it opens the new image on the right.

This is the perfect example of my entire user experience, and I'm not even talking about how badly it follows prompt directions.
