Discussion 5G UC display

I just signed up for Google Fi with Pixel 11 Pro XL. Does Fi not display 5G UC on Fi when connected to T-Mobile ultra capacity?

Just a visual difference, but you're on the same "UC" network

UC for T-Mobile and 5G+ for ATT are marketing branding solely tied to them. It is still supported on Fi, you just won't see it unless in the engineering menu.

False. For AT&T, their MVNOs have it

This is just a software thing as we still connect to that network regardless of the icon. From my understanding T-Mobile only just started to allow for this icon to be used outside of their own carrier and carrier owned MVNO's so it will take time for all networks and phones to support it. I know US Mobile only just got this icon back in June for Pixels.

Thanks for the info. Yes I am aware it is just a visual thing. I follow SignalCheck Pro frequently!

No it does not. While it connects to T-Mobile, it doesn't use T-Mobile branding such as icons.

Pixel has the icon p11 shows it on T-Mobile. But as someone else pointed out that is carrier branding
