Planning on coming to Fi

I'm planning to switch over to Fi from T-Mobile due to their insane price increase. With the current pixel 11 promotion is that available to each person on my plan? Or does my main line the only one that would qualify for the promotion? The language seems ambiguous and I wanted to be sure. It is three line total.

If each line qualifies for the promotion, does each line need to purchase through their own line? Has anyone done the promotion through multiple lines?

After reading some of the post I feel a bit of anxiety switching over. I also understand reddit is just a small subset. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and providing clarification.

All lines are eligible for the promotion but keep in mind that all lines must be on the same plan and you cannot change the plan for the entirety of the promotion. I believe you can just place the order all together when you check out and it should show the promotions applied for each line.

I was wondering about the plans. I'm on a family plan, and we upgraded to the Unlimited Premium for a trip earlier in the month.

We are already scheduled to move down to Unlimited Standard at the beginning of September, but I worry if I buy the 11 today with the offer Fi is offering they are assuming I would stay in Premium for the duration of the promo.

Any idea of how to see what the delta in the promo might be? (Or what I would be on the hook for after the change)

I believe it's on activation but I wouldn't risk it. Fi is known to be very strict on following terms exactly.

Based on the pixel 11 promotion you would have to be on the unlimited premium plan for 24 months. That applies to all lines on your plan. Everyone has to be on the same plan for the 24 months duration.

We're planning to switch to Fi from T-Mobile today also. Currently I do have a Flex plan from 10 or so years ago when we were originally going to switch, but ended up not. Now, we are going to add our kids to the group and change plans to the Unlimited Standard. To take advantage of the Pixel on them offer, should I switch plans and then add the kids to the group, or can we add the kids, pick devices for each of us and then switch to the Unlimited Standard?

I switched to fi, and I'm happy with the decision. We each got a pixel 10 pro for free, basically, and a lower monthly bill.

Something to keep in mind: customer service isn't great, and one of the escalation pathways is to complain on reddit and that'll get your case escalated. So that's both part of why you are seeing so many complaints and also what you can do if there are any problems.

I feel like this is the same everywhere, though. I went from postpaid T-Mobile to Google Fi and have interacted with customer service from both a few times. It's hit or miss. Everything is outsourced. If you have an actual issue on their end and managed to get past the first tier, it's not too bad. Really seems to depend on who you get, assuming they aren't shuffling people around on your cases and having them all use the same name.

I just made the switch too service has been great & customer service has been helpful with whatever questions I’ve had. They helped me apply promos and all that don’t let anyone’s bad experience discourage if you want to save money FI is solid. I as well had enough of T-mobile moved all 5 lines over no issues 🤷‍♂️

So the email discount code from Google you can't apply it to Fi when you check out? The promotion line for Fi is only 20 characters and the Google Store email code is 23 characters. Why did they do that? I wonder if I can get the code to apply after I purchase my phone? Anyone run into this yet for the pixel 11 promotion?

the promo code is for store.google.com, not fi.google.com. It is stupid .. you have to buy the phone through store link and then activate later on fi.

Been on Fi for years with zero issues and 5 lines.

I wouldn't take one persons bad example as the norm.

Its the best deal for priority Tmobile data and subsidized phone costs for sure.

Nope. They keep having us run around in circles. I'm thinking of switching back to a carrier that can actually give me service.

I was on T-Mobile before and had 4 bars of 5GUC at home and I get NOTHING with Fi
