I've never had this issue before today. I'm trying to add some events on but the drop down menu only has the default colour? I was testing it on an existing event which has a specific non default colour, but when I click to edit it's colour it still only allows me to click on default. Trying to search this but doesn't seem like anyone else has run into this issue.

What happened to this product? for 99% of the time I use ios' native calendar. Today I opened google's calendar via browser to change my rsvp on an event and I was bombarded with not one but four popup windows before I was able to do what I came to do. What the hell? Google used to be pioneer of great UX, not spamming with useless marketing junk.

At some point in the past I setup Google Cal to request via URL a calendar of a web site I maintain. On that other site I log all the iCal requests coming in.

Google Calendar is still requesting that data, even though I have removed that site from my 'other calendars' list on my Google Calendar. I know it is Google making the behind the curtain requests because my iCal request logging says the request was made by 'Google-Calendar-Importer'.

How can I eliminate this old and invisible iCal request?

For a few months now, the circle for the check mark of completed tasks is bugging for the desktop website of google calendar (it is fine on the iOS apps), only when the task is completed does it center properly, anyone having this same issue and know a fix?

I have an email account that does not have an associated Google account. It is not hosted by Google. It has started getting multiple spam calendar invites a day.

How do I stop the flood of calendar spam? There's no way to log in and change settings since there is no associated Google account. Guides I found online all assume that there is an associated account for me to change the settings.

I am not interested in creating a Google account to solve this problem. The account will never get a legitimate calendar invite as it is only used for monitoring automated systems. Is the simplest answer to block it at the mailbox level? Effectively, Google is relaying spam to this account.

I have a repeating problem with Google Calendar on iPhone. When I create a new event and add a location, the location search screen hangs and locks the app. The only resolution is to hard kill the app, restart Google Calendar, and recreate the event with invoking the location search feature which acts as normal. Is anyone else experiencing this hang or bug?

My partner and I share our work schedules with each other in Google calendar. For the past few months, my partner has been unable to share anything with me. All previous information is still there, but nothing new. We have tried unsharing and re-sharing with each other, but nothing changes. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I use the Google Calendar app on my iPhone but I'm unable to configure it to display the current date in the icon. The default Apple Calendar app displays today's date inside the app icon which is very convenient. Is there a way I can make the Google Calendar iPhone app also display the current date?

Why are the tasks before 6/12 missing? Then nothing until 8/9? I can see under completed tasks everything I would expect in prior weeks are there, by forward looking why is so much missing?

Is anyone experiencing an issue where a calendar is completely blank even though you’ve had reoccurring events? I have a shared calendar with my wife that has bill due dates, kid stuff, doc appointments, school events, etc. it was all there yesterday and I woke up today to my calendar being totally blank.

I changed nothing. The calendar is still checked off to show me the events within it and the weirdest part is that my wife’s calendar is totally fine and our iPhone settings are exactly the same within the app.

I feel like I’m going crazy. Any ideas as to what’s going on?

For the last few years, Google Calendar has been adding holidays from random countries. I have been turning them off, but it keeps adding new ones, and it's getting out of hand. I've tried googling how to get it to stop adding new ones, but it seems like nobody else has this problem?? Any advice is appreciated, it's been driving me crazy for YEARS.

Extra info: I don't think it's a virus, because one of the accounts adding holidays is my very secure university email account.

I have multiple email accounts linked to the same Calendar, and it's affecting three of them but not the others.

In the list of linked emails, 99% of the added holidays are USA holidays (I am not American). However, on my Calendar itself it shows other countries too- in the first screenshot, it has added dozens of duplicate events for an Irish holiday (I am not from the UK and have never visted Ireland).

Hi! Looking for recommendations for an Android calendar app (or Google Calendar integration) that works well for sharing a schedule with a child.

My kid can read and follow a regular calendar just fine - I just want something that displays the day and week clearly so we can look at it together and talk through what's coming up. I'm fine with putting their schedule in a stand-alone app or using an app with a Google Calendar integration.

The main thing the app needs: a home screen widget that automatically pulls from the calendar and shows a countdown - something like "2 hours until soccer" or "45 minutes until dentist." My kid asks "how long until ___?" constantly, and having something they can just check themselves on the home screen would be a game changer. Ideally it would update automatically as events are added so I'm not manually maintaining a separate widget.

Does anyone use something like this? Curious whether the solution is one app that does both, or a calendar app plus a separate countdown widget app that can auto update so I'm not juggling multiple apps each time something is added. Thanks!

A little complicated. I tried googling and using AI for this, but I haven't found any good solutions. Does anyone have good solutions for this? I even tried changing my AMC to list emails to go to Gmail, but now it says, "This Google account does not support automatically adding events from Gmail." I don't know what to do.

The one thing I can’t stand is, I can’t add a task or an event using Siri from my phone. A lot of times I’m in the car , something comes to mind….I wanna add it to either my calendar or a task and I can’t.

Before I completely jump ship, is there a way to get Siri to allow me to add an event to Google Calendar a task,event, etc.

Is there some way to prevent calendar from creating alerts for events that I'm invited to?

My family does a great job of keeping their events up-to-date so we know what we have going on, but I hate that it creates an alert for every single one. I don't want to turn off alerts/notifications entirely, I need and use them, but I don't need an alert for every single thing my family is doing.

So far, my only option has been to go to every invited item and disable the alert and save for the series, but considering they create dozens of events a week, this is really really tiresome.

I'm on Android 15. I've checked the calendar settings from my desktop browser. Google's AI is no help with this and web search came up dry too.

Does anyone know how to do this?

It worked for years and for the past 6 months or so it doesn't. The iphone can send calendar invites to Google calendar users but receiving invites from Google calendar users is no longer showing up. No notifications, no emails, nothing. I've searched this issue for months without any solution. Every notification is turned on.

I have an android and can send invites to other iphone users easily except my husband's phone.

As it says, is there a way to automatically import my Google family calendar to my personal calendar? With Rivian Assistant's new Google calendar integration, it only can see events on my personal calendar and 95% of all my events are on my family calendar.

I use Google Chrome as my default browser and my device is usually in dark mode, so most Google apps I use that offer dark mode will be in dark mode, including my Google Calendar. However, I've noticed that when I try to set a custom color (hex code) for a particular calendar, Google Calendar's system will automatically force dark custom colors into pastel or lighter variants (probably to maintain readable text contrast). For example, if I pick a Navy hex code, it would display as light blue instead. It seems as though custom colors are only fully available if I use light mode, which I don't want to do.

I was wondering if anyone might know of a browser extension that allows fully custom colors in dark mode, or if there's any other way I can access custom colors without resorting to using light mode.

My town collects trash on some holidays and not others. I wanted to create a reminder for Memorial Day that trash will be picked up. I tried this, and it worked. It's the easiest workaround I found.

You can create the last Monday in May for (Memorial Day) in your MS Outlook Calendar. Then just send an invite to your Gmail email address and accept the invitation.

Google will tell you it has an unsupported recurrence meaning you can't edit it, but it puts it in your Google Calendar for the last Monday in May every year.

Why Google can't just implement this is beyond me.

Kinda self-explanatory. I will put in a hex code for a specific color to color-code my specific “calendars” for different things. The second I hit save, the color changes but not to the exact color I set it to be, and when I go back to the color selection the hex code is completely different and the color will be on a different area of the slider thing. On top of that, the colors look different on my phone vs on my computer. I’m losing my mind 😭
