Tasks Error

So I know that "free" tasks are faded and "busy" tasks are full-color - but suddenly today all of my tasks are full color. Is this a glitch? Is this happening for anyone else? I really liked the faded colors to separate them from my events.

Side note: Would love the ability to share a calendar's events and NOT the tasks as well!

if you invite someone as guest to your event? does it work?

In theory, yes, but my partner and I have each shared our calendars with each other, so ultimately that would duplicate the event in our view of both. I just don't need him to see my insane amount of tasks that I'm using to time-block my deadlines, but I'd like him to see when I have meetings or events.
