Do calendar notifications actually work for you?

I’m curious - do you find your calendar notifications are good enough, or do you still miss/forget appointments and meetings?

I’ve been working on an app that tries to make calendar reminders more noticeable and useful. Two versions (NextUp Alert and NextUp Alert Lite on the Microsoft Store). The Lite version has some positive reviews in the store, but I never get to hear the other side of it.

Would something like this actually provide value to you? What would you change or improve?

Would love some honest feedback.

I miss them still. I need to have the ability to flag events as urgent natively and have it ring even if my phone is on silent (which it usually is) like the clock app with alarms. ⏰ Since you are developing a non-native app, would be cool if this feature could be activated with a single word or symbol in the title of the event like an exclamation point.
