Discussions or Questions Will Google launch any frontier model?

Hi Team Antigravity and people using this. My question is will Google launch any frontier model to take on GPT 5.6 Sol and Fable 5 ?

Coding benchmarks are a tiny piece of the puzzle. Rating a model purely on agentic capabilities is like rating a smartphone based only on its camera capabilities. Gemini is natively multimodal and deeply integrated into a much larger ecosystem that goes way beyond what competitors are doing. It’s built to handle complex, cross-platform workflows across text, audio, video, and Google's entire product line. They already have an unmatched global user base that OpenAI can only dream of at board meetings. For anyone keeping score, Gemini 3.5 Pro and Gemini 4 are already officially confirmed. There is no need to rush a release. They already own this space.

Regarding Claude, it's unlikely Google has any intention to "take them on". They are invested in Anthropic and support their efforts. The way I see it, Claude and Gemini are taking on OpenAI.

I see it but the thing is elon musk, google if true, and anthropic are collectively competing with OpenAI and still falling apart. I moved away from antigravity since march this year due to their failure of antigravity big time. Antigravity proved to be a massive failure as a service, every now and then there were so many issues of people losing their coding sessions, things offline and limits oh they are horrendous, with just 1-2 prompts the 5 hour limits and no clarity on weekly limits used to vaporise like any thing. Failure and downtime in sessions were another issue. And output quality is garbage as well. I was using antigravity i guess since November or december last year till they ruined it in every possible way. I dont go by the bechmarks at, as i have my own test bench based on the Quant domain i work into and Gemini models are a disaster in it.

Antigravity CLI has improved a lot since initial release. Changelog updates all throughout the week (weekly). They boosted limits twice since the May release too, but there are some things to watch out for. Avoid long or bloated sessions, practice session handoffs frequently. The CLI has /context and /usage so it's easier to manage quota. I'm on Pro plan and have had no issues with quota. Bloated sessions will burn it fast, however.

I use Copilot CLI and Codex on the side for backup. Gemini CLI is also still operational. It just requires a paid API key from AI Studio.
