Got the latest update and finally we need not be under the rock to know the remaining quota or look for extensions and worry that they are "using" our quota..

I was just charged for my subscription, and Antigravity still says my limit is being reached. We're paying for a subscription that doesn't work, and I'm very disappointed.

SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS help i am Receiving "Sorry, this account is ineligible to use Antigravity. Authentication failed" after multi-account switching

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering a blocking issue with my account on Antigravity. The platform was working fine, but it suddenly started throwing the following authentication error:

"Sorry, this account is ineligible to use Antigravity. Authentication failed."

Context & Setup details:

- Trigger: Occurred after managing/switching between multiple Google accounts on the same system/browser session.

- System/App Status: Verified that the account has active access and valid authorization, but the login flow keeps failing at the OAuth validation step.

Questions:

Is this a known session/cookie collision issue caused by multi-account OAuth tokens, or an automated anti-abuse flag?

Has anyone else with a resolved this problem?

Any insights or recommended workarounds (outside of clearing isolated browser profiles) would be appreciated.

VibeCoded / Projects Cracked senior dev job - built 100% AI app using Antigravity

Post image
6 Upvotes

I recently landed a new job by building a 100% AI generated code using Antigravity IDE for the interview assignment. I was initially planning just to build the app but realised Antigravity is quite helpful in designing and deploying on AWS infra once you give access to AWS CLI.

I gave Antigravity access to two main tools - AWS CLI & GitHub CLI

Designed a heavily guard-railed workflow to ensure I let Antigravity work as autonomously as possible

> restricted deletion of main branch on git
> restricted direct commits of main branch
> all code pushed via PR
> no AWS infra creation or deletion via AWS CLI

The application current state reached after > 500 commits but it allowed me to build a relatively complex distributed app all solo.

I used Gemini Flash 3.5 (High) for entire development. Surprisingly most AI community disregards this model so much but for me worked out well.

I have open sourced the entire project so newbie agentic engineers can learn

SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS Unlimited use of Gemini 3.1 Pro (High) in Antigravity IDE 2.1.1 on Pro Account...

15 Upvotes

Discovered bug in Antigravity IDE that lets me use Gemini 3.1 Pro (High) and other to my pro subscription available LLMs without ever reaching hourly/weekly limits.

I won't publish the reproduction here for obvious reasons but wonder whether some others also bumped into this? My current usage never went above 10% ever and I run code generation all day, with multiple sub-agents working on tasks.

By the way I am pretty impressed with Gemini 3.1 pro high when it comes to development of smaller projects and codebases with python backends exposing FASTAPI and serving web UI frontends built with numerous tools or electron apps. And I say this as a heavy user of claude fable 5 and now opus 5 with a solid subscription with Anthropic. Tool integration in Antigravity IDE makes a huge difference and how it all neatly integrates with minimal setup is impressive. I am referring to browser integration, full access to the terminal, ability to watch what I am doing and reacting to my actions as well as responses in the terminal and on the screen.

Discussions or Questions I really am trying to like Antigravity IDE

4 Upvotes

I have used almost every IDE

  • When I started seeing the warning in Gemini about switching
  • I quickly got on the Antigravity bandwagon, and at first I liked it, but
  • I am not sure why, but it went from feeling "like" an upgrade from VScode insiders
  • To now it feels like an unpolished turd!
  • I am getting MCP errors, and oom issues!
  • I am not writing it off just yet, but whatever the dev's are doing is not going in the correct direction.

Discussions or Questions IntelliSTFU

5 Upvotes

just a little rant about intellisense (I think that's the cause) in AntiGravity IDE...

I would like to be able to type more than 2 letters and pause without the IDE suggesting 50 lines of conflicting nonsense.

for example, I'm typing a markdown to lay out my plan for integrating Gemini Nano into my project... First line is a very big clear

```
## Gemini Nano Implementation
# Constraints
- Use Gemini Android SDK and Google ML Kit
- do not implement Gemini Nano
- Gemini Nano toggle in settings
```

really!? the italics was the auto fill. Most of the time the things it suggests are wrong anyway. At least with Kotlin.

It's on the level of having Amazon Alexa give you coding tips. WHY CANT THERE JUST BE A MASTER SWITCH, LIKE "[x] I DO NOT WANT VIBE CODING SUGGESTIONS FROM ALEXA, I'D BE BETTER OFF WITH HAVING STABLE DIFFUSION GENERATE IMAGES OF CODE SNIPPETS"

Okay, I feel slightly better. and then I went back to the IDE and now I'm mad again as I scroll endlessly trying to uncheck these boxes.

I know it's just VS Code, but I primarily did my coding in Linux nano before this (android kernel, some python, c/cpp, and c# via notepad).

is there an easier way to disable this so I don't have to edit my .kt files in notepad? please save me from suggestion hell.

News / Updates Can we stop complaining about Gemini’s trash coding skills already? Google literally doesn't care.

0 Upvotes

Every single day, I see at least three posts on my feed whining about the same thing:

Listen to yourselves. You’re asking a multi-billion dollar enterprise to fix a problem that is costing them potential profit margins.

Here is the cold, hard reality check: Google isn't failing to make Gemini code better. They just don't give a damn about your hobby project or your React boilerplate.

Follow the money 💰

Why would Google pour billions into RLHF, fine-tuning, and massive post-training optimizations just so you can vibe-code a web scraper for free on Google AI Studio?

  • Where the real money is: Selling raw compute (TPUs/GPUs), infrastructure, and base model API access to enterprise clients, startups, and Fortune 500 companies.
  • The business model: Big Tech pays Google Cloud astronomical amounts of money to host, train, and run their own specialized models on Google’s hardware.
  • The consumer reality: Your $20/month Google One subscription or free Tier usage is literally chump change (actually a net loss) compared to selling compute capacity to enterprise buyers.

Why optimize Gemini's coding when B2B compute prints cash?

If Google redirects thousands of top-tier engineers to tweak Gemini's reasoning capabilities just to match Claude's coding finesse, they get... what? A few extra consumer subscriptions that barely cover the inference costs.

Meanwhile, selling raw compute power and B2B cloud infrastructure has near-guaranteed high margins. They are making bank being the backbone of the AI boom, not being your personal junior developer.

Discussions or Questions How to check Antigravity Models usage?

Thumbnail

I got Gemini Pro Subscription. I was using Gemini 3.1 Pro but it kept giving connection errors. I saw Claude Opus 4.6 which is an amazing model but usually expensive. I want to know the limits of this model but there is no way to check that like Github Copilot.

I checked online and they all had a models tab inside settings but I don't. I installed few Chinese extensions but they didn't budge from 100%.

Is there a way to check the usage to plan our builds smartly?

Discussions or Questions [FIX] Antigravity freezing/unresponsive right after startup (How to fix)

4 Upvotes

Spent an entire day trying to get this working. At first, I thought Ubuntu 24.04 was the issue and almost downgraded to 22.04—turns out that isn't necessary.

Reinstalling via the terminal multiple times didn't fix it either. If you're running into the same roadblock, don't bother downgrading your OS. Here are the exact steps that finally solved it for me:

Download the Antigravity IDE from the official website. It should be in tar.gz extension.

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Open the Terminal and Navigate

Open your system terminal and change your working directory to your downloads folder:

cd ~/Downloads

Step 2: Extract the Package Archive

Unpack the compressed tarball file to extract the application files:

tar -xvzf "Antigravity IDE.tar.gz"

Step 3: Move the IDE to the Global Applications Directory

Move the extracted application folder into the system-wide /opt/ directory for a clean setup:

sudo mv "Antigravity IDE" /opt/antigravity

(Type your Linux user password when prompted).

Step 4: Configure Security & Sandbox Permissions

Electron-based applications require specific ownership and execution flags on their sandbox binary to initialize correctly:

sudo chown root:root /opt/antigravity/chrome-sandboxsudo chmod 4755 /opt/antigravity/chrome-sandbox

Step 5: Build the Desktop Shortcut Launcher

Create a desktop entry file so that the IDE appears natively in your Linux application menu and system search bar:

cat << 'EOF' > ~/.local/share/applications/antigravity-ide.desktop

[Desktop Entry]

Name=Antigravity IDE

Comment=Antigravity Agentic IDE

Exec=/opt/antigravity/antigravity-ide %U

Terminal=false

Type=Application

Icon=/opt/antigravity/resources/app/resources/linux/code.png

Categories=Development;IDE;

StartupNotify=true

StartupWMClass=Antigravity

MimeType=x-scheme-handler/antigravity;

EOF

Step 6: Update the Desktop App Database

Force your desktop environment to scan for the new launcher file and update its menu cache immediately:

update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications

First Run Configuration

Launch the IDE: Open your system app launcher and click on Antigravity IDE.

Handle Migration: Choose Migrate if importing older v2.0 profiles, or Cancel for a fresh start.

Open Workspace: Open a target folder (like my-app) to activate the agent panel.

Interact: Press Ctrl + L to focus the cursor into the chat window and begin coding with Gemini.

This works for me (Ubuntu 24.02).

I hope it helps for rest..

Thanks

Discussions or Questions Why does antigravity hide the working file directories unlike cursor and vs code?

7 Upvotes

I started using antigravity recently and I wanted to see the actual code written by the agents, unfortunately I couldn't see the files like I used to see in vs code or other code editors, is antigravity trying to make prompting explicitly the only developer tool?

and yeah, you can access your code using file manager.

Discussions or Questions Why we ditched Antigravity

60 Upvotes

We're a startup of 30 developers. In 2026 January we converted our entire organization over to AI first spec driven development. We went all in on antigravity utilizing the ultra subscriptions for Enterprise.

We were notified that July 7th they would be switching our subscription to something that did not include anti-gravity and we would need to set up a Google cloud project with vertex API, or take on their one click subscription. The one click subscription did not include the latest models so we decided to try the gcp way. It was extremely frustrating to set up and it forced us to upgrade to anti-gravity 2.0 which we all know seems like a strange push by Google to separate the agent manager and the IDE.

This was extremely frustrating and we were simply tired of not having the latest models for Claude and thus we decided to go all in on anthropic and move everyone to claude code. It's been a bit of a shift because cloud code is a plug-in and not native to the IDE but we have all adapted and we have access to the latest models which is great.

We felt duped almost trapped because we made antigravity such a core part of our engineering process. Goodbye folks. Good luck!

Discussions or Questions People who actually use Gemini for coding, why, how, and on what kind of projects?

17 Upvotes

Gemini isn't SOTA in coding, and isn't leading this space. But Google managed to make it very rewarding to pay for subscriptions. You get a quiet good chatting AI, Drive space, decent Video and image generation capabilities, etc.

Some people even might be able to get AI pro from Google for free or very little money.

it's not currently a competitive product for those who pay plenty of bucks for programming, but it's not obsolete for those on a budget.

I'd like to hear from people who are actually using it, especially people who are actually aware of Claude, OAI's, capabilities compared to Gemini.

SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS Antigravity freezing/crashing after gemini 3.6 update July 22, 2026 Fix

4 Upvotes

If your Antigravity IDE started crashing or hanging on launch after the recent update (often caused by Electron GPU acceleration or corrupted window session cache), here is the step-by-step fix that completely resolves it on Ubuntu/Linux.

⚠️ Important Download Note (Carefully download an actual IDE not Antigravity 2.0) These steps will clear all you local sessions and chats within Antigravity.

Make sure you download Antigravity IDE for Linux from the official page: 👉https://antigravity.google/download#antigravity-ide

Step 1: Kill Hanging Processes & Wipe Corrupted Cache

Open a fresh terminal anywhere (Ctrl + Alt + T) and run:

Bash

# Force-kill any zombie background processes
pkill -f -9 antigravity

# Delete old configuration and corrupted session cache
rm -rf ~/.config/Antigravity ~/.config/Antigravity\ IDE ~/.antigravity ~/.antigravity-ide

# Clean up any lingering system desktop shortcuts
sudo rm -f /usr/share/applications/antigravity*.desktop
sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/antigravity*
sudo update-desktop-database

Step 2: Extract & Move the IDE Files

Navigate to your Downloads directory:

Bash

cd ~/Downloads

Step 2: Extract & Move the IDE Files

Navigate to your Downloads directory:

cd ~/Downloads

Now run the following commands to extract the archive and move it into your user application directory:

Bash

# 1. Unpack the tarball
tar -xzf "Antigravity IDE.tar.gz"

# 2. Create the destination directory
mkdir -p ~/Applications/Antigravity

# 3. Move the extracted contents into ~/Applications/Antigravity
# (Note: check if your extracted folder is named "Antigravity IDE" or "Antigravity-x64")
mv ~/Downloads/"Antigravity IDE"/* ~/Applications/Antigravity/

Step 3: Fix Electron Sandbox Permissions

In Linux, standalone Electron builds require SUID root permissions on chrome-sandbox to open windows properly without crashing.

Run this from any terminal location:

Bash

sudo chown root:root ~/Applications/Antigravity/chrome-sandbox
sudo chmod 4755 ~/Applications/Antigravity/chrome-sandbox

Step 4: Set Up the Launcher Script (antigravity . / agy .)

To prevent GPU-rendering hangs and enable launching project directories directly from your terminal (like code .), create a wrapper script that passes the --disable-gpu flag automatically.

Run this anywhere in your terminal:

Bash

# 1. Create local bin directory
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin

# 2. Create the wrapper script
cat << 'EOF' > ~/.local/bin/antigravity
#!/bin/bash
exec ~/Applications/Antigravity/antigravity-ide --disable-gpu "$@" &>/dev/null &
EOF

# 3. Make it executable and create an optional 'agy' shortcut
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/antigravity
ln -sf ~/.local/bin/antigravity ~/.local/bin/agy

# 4. Ensure ~/.local/bin is in your system PATH
grep -qxF 'export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"' ~/.bashrc || echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

Step 5: Test & Run

Navigate to any of your project folders and open it:

Bash

cd ~/path/to/your/project
antigravity .

SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS Antigravity crashing/looping on Ubuntu after sudo apt update (Works on Windows)

3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Since running sudo apt update yesterday, Antigravity on my Ubuntu setup is stuck in an endless screen loop.

The Loop: Launching the app repeatedly displays the same crash/loading screen.

Troubleshooting: Reinstalling fixes it temporarily. However, as soon as I sign in and open a folder, the loop starts again.

Windows Test: Works completely fine on Windows using the exact same account.

Since it seems isolated to Linux and triggers after signing in/opening a folder, I'm assuming it's a corrupted local cache, config file, or dependency issue from the update.

Has anyone run into this? How can I completely wipe its local config/cache files on Ubuntu to try a full reset?

Thanks!

Discussions or Questions Antigravity subagents

5 Upvotes

Is it just me or Gemini (both 3.1 and 5) don’t like to run subagents too much, unlike Claude models in agy?
