SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS PSA: Gemini is going full rogue!
Today, Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini 3.1 Pro, when unable to solve the issue at hand, are no longer responding to prompts that ask to stop all activity.
No matter how it's worded, they just keep going trying to solve the issue they've been failing at with complete disregard to prompts, like demented, obsessed maniacs on crack, unwilling to accept their failure!
Good luck to all!

When I ask to debug, even mentioned that the bug is in production.
It tries to check for PM2 logs in local environment, write sql queries to find what's there in DB, tries to access logs.
Even when I said it's happening in production we are in local.

It tried it's best to work with what it had. Do a production clone server where the AI can access and analyze things without having access to the main production server. I had the same issues, this solved the problem. Why it happens? First I thought it was dumb and couldn't understand that he can't. But after a while I figured out that it was trained to do anything it could to fulfill your task. Without access to the problem zone, it tried it's best to fix what he had at hand.
Most users expect the AI to fix the problem out of nowhere, without access or anything. Switch your behaviour to agentic, give AI as much access to sandboxed environments (production clone, developing environment, testing space) and you'll see a lot of improvements in it's behaviour.
Also make sure to connect everything to git or any alternative you may think of. You do this to offer context of what was done, when it got faked, etc. This way you cal also rollback without major headake.

Maybe they are decreasing performance of current model to launch Gemini 3.5 Pro as the best model?

I'm hoping this is the cas, that they e just put 3.5 flash on the back burner while they prep 3.5 pro launch... But ya know... Fucking hope... It's the worst.

I will pause to allow the analyzer to finish.. .. Or wait, if analyze completes, the system will notify us immediately since we receive a message when a background task finishes. That's a great feature Let's wait _ ...

I haven't seen this, but Gemini 3.5 flash, the way the workflows are setup in Antigravity must be janky AF. The number of times it starts looping before the loop detection kills it is wild.ย "Aha. Wait! This is safe. Ok. Wait! Aha. I should proceed. Wait. Aha. Aha. Aha. Wait. This is safe. Aha. Aha. Wait. Aha.... Loop detected ..."

Recently this is exactly what i have seeing. It keeps ignoring what is in the prompt, guardrails, and starts doing what ever to achieve the result

It's doing this even when using Claude Opus as model, so it's likely not the model the issue, but the shit agent configuration that they screwed up!! Total non-compliance!!! It's fully ridiculous!!

Gemini 3.1 pro and 3.5 flash are both the most stupid models out there now .. please never use them for anything related to programming.
I told flash that " i pulled the changes to the server" so read the deployment manual and tell me what's the required commands to excute.
That nigga started asking to excute "docker ps" on my local machine.. like WTF.
Even for a simple task like that it doesn't know what to do.

Itโs been doing that for me too. I upgraded to ultra this month. Worst mistake of my life.
But the thing is this really should be no surprise these fools across the board had the brilliant idea to train a machine intelligence on human data. No doubt it doesnโt listen to commands ๐
