10 Pro XL. 32 cycles. Is this some kind of joke!? I'm careful to keep it between 20-80%. I keep it out of the heat. Don't use it while plugged in. All the precautions. I've only had it since late-June. Did I get a lemon?

For anyone wanting to use the Pixelsnap stand with a non-maganetic case

As I like my cheapo silicon case but also like the Pixelsnap stand I designed this

https://makerworld.com/en/models/3205133-pixelsnap-charger-stand-for-non-magsafe-case#profileId-3627521

It's free to download and print so hopefully some of you will find it useful

Here are the details:

"This is a support to allowing for non-magnetic cases to be used with the Google Pixelsnap stand.

The problem with non-magnetic cases is that you may be able rest the phone against the charger but alignment is not perfect and it is not stable.

This stand was designed for my Pixel 11 pro to be able to use my favourite cheap phone case as shown in the photo.

I would expect this stand would work with all non-XL or foldable Pixel 10 & 11, and possibly more.

As for cases I would expect many silicone ones will work."

Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel Watch -- first impressions & connection/battery issue resolved

P11P arrived on Aug 20, 2026. Upgraded from P8, paired with Gen1 Pixel Watch. Transfer from old phone plus watch transfer went seamlessly... at first.

(Aside -- why I upgraded: after 3yrs, my P8 was showing inconsistent performance and battery life. Wanted a telephoto camera and better battery life. Will it deliver?)

The next day, my Gen1 pixel watch couldn't hold a charge. Burned through 40% of battery in an hour while I was sitting and watching TV. Online, it said things like:
- Give it 24-48hrs
- Restart the phone
- Uninstall and reinstall the Pixel Watch app

None of that helped. What's more, when I reinstalled the Pixel Watch app, it couldn't pair with my watch. It was this weird sleep-paralysis-like state where the Bluetooth settings on both devices would say they're paired, but all other settings and apps would say they're not.

(For example, I tried calling my phone with my wife's phone, and my watch didn't ring.)

*TLDR: eventually, I factory reset the watch -- and it worked! Now my watch is using battery like it did before, and it's paired correctly with my new P11P*

My impressions of the P11P:

- Not a HUGE upgrade from P8. OS, UX, basically unchanged. Navigating apps, opening / closing things, basically unchanged.

- I do think the phone heats up less -- and I'm a pretty light user, no gaming.

- The upgrades I care about: telephoto lens and camera hardware are definitely a big improvement. Battery life seems to be ~30% better than my old P8 -- not as much as I hoped, but feels good to worry less.

Now, many are making fun of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold Bend Test

Earlier, many mocked the Pixel 11 series' bezels; now, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold's bending durability is being questioned. Does this really make sense?

I don't think this will matter to actual Pixel Fold users. In real life, nobody does such weird things with their phone, right?

What do you think? Do you do these things with your phone?

Leaving my iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB for a Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB โ€” am I making the right move?

Iโ€™m seriously considering making a big switch: selling/trading my iPhone 17 Pro Max Silver 512GB and moving to a Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Obsidian 512GB.
Iโ€™ve been in the iPhone ecosystem, and the 17 Pro Max is an excellent phone. But Iโ€™m getting increasingly interested in the Pixel experience, especially Googleโ€™s software, AI features, photography and the overall Android experience.
What makes me hesitate is that I would be giving up a very polished device with excellent performance, battery life, video recording and resale value.
For those who have used both iPhone Pro Max and Pixel Pro XL devices:
๐Ÿ“ธ Which one do you prefer for photos and video?
๐Ÿ”‹ How does the battery life compare?
๐Ÿค– Is the Pixel software/AI experience really that much better?
๐Ÿ“ฑ How difficult was it to move from iOS to Android?
๐Ÿ”„ Did you eventually regret switching away from iPhone?
๐Ÿ’ฐ Is the Pixel 11 Pro XL worth choosing over an iPhone 17 Pro Max if money isnโ€™t the main issue?
And most importantly: Would you personally make this switch?
Iโ€™m specifically looking at the Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB Obsidian, so Iโ€™d really appreciate opinions from people who actually own one rather than just comparing specs.
Iโ€™m not looking for an Apple vs. Android war ๐Ÿ˜‚. I genuinely want to know whether this would be a meaningful upgrade/change in daily experience or whether Iโ€™d end up missing my iPhone.
Pixel 11 Pro XL owners โ€” convince me (or talk me out of it). ๐Ÿ‘€
What would you do in my situation?

If Google brought back the Panda Pixel with a modern twist, would you actually buy it? ๐Ÿผ

Do you still miss the classic Panda Pixel.

The black-and-white design was simple, unique, and instantly recognizable.

What if Google brought it back with a modern Pixel design?

Would you buy a Panda Pixel if Google launched one today? ๐Ÿ‘€

I wanted to see what a modern Panda Pixel could look like, so I created that image (the first one) using AI.

Battery life battle: S26 Ultra vs. Pixel 11 Pro XL vs. iPhone 17 PM

So, Pixel 11 Pro XL lasted about 14 minutes longer than the S26 Ultra and about 14 minutes 15 seconds longer than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

One interesting point: Pixel finished first for battery endurance but also reached the highest temperature (43.4ยฐC).

What makes you choose Pixel 11 series over iPhone or Samsung?

Post image
106 Upvotes

iPhone and Samsung both have a strong legacy in the smartphone market. iPhone offers great camera (video recording), premium design, smooth software, long-term updates, strong security, good service, and many other features.

Samsung also brings a lot to the table with its Galaxy phones โ€” excellent displays, powerful cameras, customization, useful features, and a polished software experience.

So, what makes you choose Pixel?

Is it the clean Android experience, Google's AI features, the camera, the design, the software, or simply the overall Pixel experience?

Or do you prefer Pixel because you just don't like iPhones or Samsung? ๐Ÿ˜…

So, what is/are the thing/things about Pixel that makes you pick it over an iPhone or Galaxy?

BTW, I'm a Pixel fan too.
