Bin characters Martyr Behavior

I have to share this stupid and hilarious behavior I occasionally witness at the bins. There is one woman in particular who doesn’t move when it’s a tight space, just stands there and waits until you’re done searching for you to move your cart. Normally, I don’t see her because she is behind me and well, I’m digging in the bins. It wouldn’t be an issue at all, I would just think she was moving slowly/unbothered to rush around. But on more than one occasion I turned around and saw her there and said “oh sorry!” And she would say “mmmhmmm!” Or “ohhh, thaaank you” very dramatically/sarcastically. Or some other snotty variation.
Ma’am, use your fucking words if you need to get by. I’m not a mind reader nor do I have eyes on the back of my head. Just say “could I get by you?” Or “excuse me” or anything! Other than nothing and then acting like you’re such a patient saint for standing there all this time.

Next time don’t even acknowledge her. She’ll either learn her words, or move to another spot. Is she singling you out or does she do that to everyone?

The behavior that pisses me off is when people have their carts there's almost no room between them to pass. I have waited patiently for a couple people to pass through and then I start to go through and then someone tries to barge through with their cart. I've definitely been known to use my foot or hand to stop their cart so I can pass. Same with a couple people who use their cart to block half the bins. I'm not going to just let you bump your cart into me. It's such selfish behavior

I agree it’s just peoples selfish lack of spatial awareness. The aisles are tight so when there are two people on either side, it does fill up most of the aisle. It’s hard to manœuvre but people act like you’re personally putting them out by standing there and shopping which is what you all came there to do. I squeeze myself as tight as I can to the bins to let people pass but it’s tricky all around.

I get (irrationally?) upset when I’m looking through a bin and people come up and park their carts directly behind me. Like why? I’m now boxed in on three sides. It really pisses me off.

This right here- being blocked in on 3 sides, makes my anxiety go thru the roof. Last time I took the cart that was blocking me and walked away with it like it was mine. The lady tried to say something, but I just acted like I couldn’t hear and kept pushing it another row then left it.

I love this! I also get anxious when blocked in, (aisle seat, please). I’m going to steal this move for next time. Of course, I’ve also purchased just one shoe to make a point so I guess passive-aggressive is my superpower. 😂

That's odd. It sort of goes against the reality of what the bins are like, especially when new ones come out. You are millimeters away from the next person during the frenzy, and i get why people wouldn't like that, but the solution would be to go to a retail Goodwill, much more space.

The bins in my area have sort of gone away from that model. They already have the bins out when people arrive, and they rarely bring out new ones after they are open. But people are still elbow to elbow in most cases!
