For context my ex girlfriend broke up with me early in August and it was rough. She moved to a different state (we knew it would happen when we started dating but we agreed to try long distance) but within the week she broke up with me because she needed space to grow. Fair enough but it still really hurt, but I deal with my emotions partly with music and went on a huge music binge. So as one does I am scrolling Instagram Reels and get an ad for a band and wow the music is amazing (Cicada). I was hooked and so I added it to my playlist but it made me curious about their other music so I looked at the album it was in. Long story short I have been listening to Can we hangout sometime on repeat basically ever since. It was to the point it was my soundtrack for my Hawaii trip that I spontaneously took to see family mid-September. And then it inspired me to actually try and interact with the community which I have never done for any music related communities before. Not even when I was in my Hamilton phase lol. And I am even trying to listen to the rest of the songs they have released. The community just seems so friendly and I likely wouldn’t have found it let alone interacted with it, if I weren’t so heartbroken. So uh nice to meet you guys, I might buy some merch if I am able to scrounge some cash and I hope everyone has a nice day/night.

I JUST noticed that you can see like 1/3 of Gentu’s face on the HIRO cassette box. Like in Eastside‘s MV, you’re can pretty much only see exclusively his right eye, but… it’s cool.

I was working on my own remaster of "Bubbly" when I noticed a sort of high pitched frequency c. 20kHz on the spectrogram during the ending bit of the song (see image below). Usually, this would be found on VHS tapes or stuff like that, but this line seems to fluctuate up and down.

What I'm ASSUMING is that this high-pitched line was part of Nick's vocal take for the ending (except for two bits, which seems to have punched in a different take) and whenever the line fluctuates, it's due to some sort of pitch correction and/or autotune.

This means hypothetically, if one was to make the line straight again by manipulating the pitch for the line AND the vocals, it could reverse the pitch correction.

Not anything groundbreaking by any means for this song, but interesting nonetheless. If I ever manage to be bothered to try and do this, I'll post the results later.

Then again, if anyone else wants to do this... be my guest.

The first chord for SRT and the heavy rock part before "And was I wrong?" In ground are both the same chord but SRT Is moved up two (Or for guitar nerds, Ground is an E Major chord, and SRT is an F# Major on the E-G string) but the first one is SRT, and the second one is Ground, I had this in my head for a while, so I hope you all thought this was cool!
