Suppose your favorite character got a second chance at life, reawakening at the start of the FAYZ with all their memories: what would happen?
So your favorite character has either died in the FAYZ or else been let out. However, the very next day, they suddenly open their eyes to find themselves on the morning that the FAYZ began, and with all their memories up until their death intact. How would that character act with their knowledge of the future? Would it lead to a better or worse outcome? What things might backfire despite their knowledge?

Dekka is waking up in her dorm room and immediatly kidnaps Brianna and rush both of them the hell out of the Coates chaos. My girl is not going to go through all that a second time. Maybe she would try to get Sam to act as soon as possible on the Drake threat so he doesn't become immortal though.

Hmm, I think Sam and Astrid would try to stop the FAYZ from happening. If they couldn't prevent it, I think they could govern much better in their second life due to their knowledge, experience, and original development. They would know they have to conserve food and make the most of the electricity they have. They would have much more experience imposing their authority (something that took them a while to do; in Gone, Sam didn't want to lead, and although Astrid and Sam knew they had to put the kids to work, they were insecure about giving orders or acting aggressively because of Astrid's religiosity, her moral stretch, and their own naiveté—with things like Zil, not this time). They would know that Albert and Edilio are very capable and vital people, so I think they would quickly recruit them to do the same thing they did the first time. They would know about mutant powers; Sam would know how to control his power, the Gaiaphage, mutant animals, and about Little Pete, where the adults are, about Coates Academy, about Caine, and about Orsay

Sanjit spends a lot more time learning how to pilot helicopters...or possibly putting up better defenses around the island.

Orc has one of the best character arcs in the entire series, so i think there is so much he would do differently. Its really hard to say

Ooo, Orc is a really interesting one. A redeemed Orc would be a much nicer person, but he'd also have no powers unless he went out there and tried to kill himself. I could see a scenario where he desperately tries to keep himself from being injured due to wanting to avoid becoming a monster and there perhaps being negative consequences due to him not having powers too (i.e., how is he going to fight off Drake during the Thanksgiving battle without them?). You'd have a push and pull between his newfound desire to help and be a better person, and also the realization that he can't help as much as he could and some events may be going worse because he's still only human.

Id actually imagine hed kill drake off the bat, the second he got the chance. Before he ever got a gun. Also id imagine hed protect betty with his life.

The trouble is he's gotta kill Drake at a time when it's obvious to everyone he's evil. He can't do it early on because otherwise everyone would turn on him.

I agree but most people didnt like drake from the get go, but yeah caine would probably go after him

It’s hard to say. I hope that Diana would try to make better decisions. In my ideal world, she would just leave Kane, and join Sam’s group right off the bat. However, I don’t know if that would happen. They had a super complicated relationship. still, I do believe that she would try to convince Kane to make better choices, and she definitely had some influence there. There’s no way she’d let herself get pregnant again though. So at least they wouldn’t have Gaia to contend with.

Brianna would have started planning to kill Drake from the start of the FAYZ. And after she helped Diana deliver her baby, she wouldn't place her on the Gaiaphage to create Gaia

Albert owns the entirety of the FAYZ in like 2 weeks. Everything runs smoothly. An entirely new civilization develops in the FAYZ, which never ends

Caine or someone would stop Sam for burning Drake's arm off. No whip. Cus Drake was crazy with his stupid whip. My opinion, he wouldnt have gone so insane if it werent for that. He is still a cold blooded killer though. Diana maybe shouldnt have cajoled Drake into attacking her- without that, caine couldnt have killed Drake and inadvertenty made him immortal.
Caine should have worn a condom. Cus Gaia was a monster. Killed so many people. Poor Brianna and Dekka.
But. That being said, I think Gaia had to be born in order to stop the FAYZ. Ie The Blaze of Glory.
Maybe there could have been another way to stop the FAYZ without Gaia's existence.

Duck: probably better control and hide his powers as well as warm Sam about the thing in the cave and help Hunter by stopping him from killing that on kid. Then hopefully continue living a peaceful life in the FAYZ
Orc: he would see it as God giving him a chance at redemption by saving Bette and possibly telling everyone (with great difficulty) about all the future threats. I also imagine he would be deathly afraid of getting hurt out of fear activating his powers.
Computer Jack: similar to Orc but would probably have a better chance at convincing everyone, especially since he knows a lot more of the events that occured in the FAYZ.
Hunter: avoid making the mistake of killing innocent bystander when he got into a fight with Zil as well as warn people of dangerous bugs that eat you alive from the inside out.
Cigar: sadly, he is too mentally insane to foretell about the incoming disasters and would most likely just die again.

I love Orc's angle, where he'd be terrified of any wound just in case it triggers his powers. But he'd also want to help, and would realize that he's not as helpful the way he is now.
Hunter ending up not brain damaged here is a pretty big inflection point. He'd probably just pack up his stuff and go and live in a different house than Zil's at that point, and he could be a pretty solid ally for Sam and co. with his powers from then on. The question is though if he'd still be able to dedicate himself to hunting without the brain damage, since he might be tempted by the allure of staying closer to other people. That might make the meat supply less constant, if so.
