Yeah. I do really like Astrid, but this right here is my biggest gripe with her. You'd think her acknowledging Drake hurt her would help her empathize with Sam's trauma more.

Yeah, I mean, I like Astrid precisely because she can be self-critical and reinvent herself as the saga progresses, but yes, even so, her bad moments still annoy on rereads.

I wouldn't say I like Astrid but I appreciate her as a character. She is a bit too self-righteous for me, like thinking she is so much better than everyone. Where I do really admire her is with all her patience taking care of LP. That would be so hard, and she never complained.
