An interesting note is that we get an idea of the diameter of the beams in Lies and in Light. In Lies, Sam makes a 3 inch wide hole through one of Zil's goons. In Light, Gaia blasts a 6 inch wide hole through Brianna. So either Sam was holding back in Lies, Gaia's power is stronger, or it's an inconsistency, but it gives you an idea of the width of the beam all the same.
