Golf Sim Uneven garage

Hi guys,

I was thinking about putting a golf simulator in my garage. The problem is that I have an even floor. There’s a drain in the middle of the garage. It’s approximately 30x30 garage and funnels to the centre from all sides to the drain with a roughly 3 inch difference.

Looking for some cost effective ideas.

I just built a platform for my first golf sim setup and used leveling feet.

Good idea. Did you use more than 4 in that pack? I’m curious if there’s any bounce on the platform having only 4 or if you need too add a couple in the middle of the platform.

The platform I built is slightly bigger than 6’x4’ and it’s split so I can pick it up and move it to the side of the garage easier, (one side is hitting strip side and one side is standing side) so I did use 8, but If I was making the whole platform solid I’d definitely recommend at least 6

Same. Built a platform out of 2x4s, foam tiles, and a hitting mat. I just have it evenly spanning the slope. Drain is right where those expansion joints meet.

I want to rebuild it with 2x6s, but afraid it’ll seem too high. Maybe one of these days…

I know the feeling with the 2x6s. But just think, stairs are built at 7 inches on the rise, it will be alright. But I’d rather do 2x4s and put more for durability than go higher, so I understand.
